April 30, 200620 yr and basically forgotten in this game: Jason Vargas is in real trouble this season. So true. Im lovin Nolasco right now. He looks in command and ready for the big time. Someone made a bone-head play on defense (cant remember who right now) behind him but without the error he had a real nice outing. Couldn't agree more. It was Abercrombie who turned a single into a triple. Tough play but he at least needs to knock it down. Especially with two outs...knock it down and let the pitcher get the out
April 30, 200620 yr what will it take for these f***ers to learn to not swing at the first pitch??? :banghead :banghead :banghead :plain nothing to say...............i am so angry for we waste every chance ao easily...........just like nobody want to win the game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 30, 200620 yr tampa playing like us last year we playing like tampa from last year did we trade marlin team to tampa? :hat the Marlins and D-Rays franchises should merge, then we'd have a full, awesome team and San Antonio could get their stupid team
April 30, 200620 yr The thing is that the middle of the order gets on base and then the guys at the bottom can't do the job (Fly out). Hopefully when Hermi comes back that will change. We need Hermida to hit second, move Uggla to fifth, and move Jacobs down to 6th.

Hanley Hermi Miggy Hammer Uggla Jake Olivo _____ Pitcher. I will like that.
April 30, 200620 yr When will the Marlins finally win a series? The day I get Married. :whistle Then get married, quick!
April 30, 200620 yr And we lose yet another series. When will the Marlins finally win a series? our pitcher was easy to walk, our hitter was easy to strickout(and first pitch out ! ! !)...............come on,how could we win any series,it's so lucky for us to win a game in a series :banghead :banghead :banghead
April 30, 200620 yr Id still rather have Uggz in the 2 hole when Hermida is back im down with that... hes looked great there.. why change it?

April 30, 200620 yr Yeah, this team is pretty bad. 1-7 in one run games. Absolutely disgusting. our player know how to pitch, know how to hit but they all don't know how to win a ball game, they can't do the right thing in the key situation........it's why we always can't score in the situation that other team always would done...............
April 30, 200620 yr Id still rather have Uggz in the 2 hole when Hermida is back The Ugg is making a strong case for himself in the 2 hole but does Hermida lose his spot in the line up cause he got hurt? I think you have to give Hermi his spot back for a few weeks and if he falters then you can drop him down and give "No sleeves in Chicago" the 2 hole back again.

I dont know if he should take it as a demotion, but I think our lineup is much deeper with Dan in the 2 hole, as opposed to the 5 or 6 hole... and he seems to hit much better their too

April 30, 200620 yr I wonder if Girardi would consider moving Vargas to the pen and letting Nolasco try his hand at starting. We need a lefty set-up guy and he might be effective provided he challenged the hitters by throwing strikes.

April 30, 200620 yr Not sure why we need a lefty specialist, Borowski dominates them... but I guess Joe is going to be our closer
April 30, 200620 yr BTW, is anyone having fun watching "the kids" grow yet? No. I'm getting an ulcer watching this team play. same here ..i was at the game....it was embarrasing. every ground ball to hanley i thought he'd throw away-hell, he even threw one away during middle-of-the-inning warmups. we could of easily had 6-7 errors, i think the scorekeepers feel bad for us or something.. :plain
April 30, 200620 yr Vargas has had 5 starts. In 1 he allowed 2 hits in 6 innings. In Chicago(his best game) he allowed 1 hit in 6 innings. The other 3 starts he was lousy. So he's had flashes of very good mixed with the bad. This type of consistent inconsistency is what we can expect all season long from all our pitchers, except Dontrelle. We have nobody else. There's no reason to think that Nolasco, Johnson, etc. would do any better. There's a player here or there that clearly is in way over their head, like Reed, and I'm sure we'll make some minor tweaks with the line-up during the season. But basically, what you see is all we got. It's gonna be a long year. atleast Josh Willingham is turning into a real nice 4 hole hitter Josh is looking very good offensively in the first month, and he gives the impression that things will only get better as he gets more AB's. Maybe this year, maybe not this year, but he looks really good at the plate. In the outfield, every ball hit to him is an adventure. Makes one wonder how you can play ball your whole life, reach the ML level and have great coaching, and still look inept in the field. Maybe he'll get it one day....but probably his future is in the AL as a DH.
April 30, 200620 yr WE ARE BAD NEWS BEAR OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL KC and Pitts should give the Marlins a run for the money.
