June 17, 200620 yr Anyone nervous? I think this game will decide Moe in a way. If he get do good in this game knowing Toronto has the best offence, maybe that will give him the courage to start making quality starts all the way :thumbup
June 17, 200620 yr He's been giving us some above averagish 5th starter innings since a terrible start...but really I think we all our anxious to see which of our young guns eventually takes his spot.
June 17, 200620 yr I hope he does well, Moe is a great guy who deserves some success, I think he draws some inspiration from his father and that's kinda cool.
June 17, 200620 yr Have confidence in the guy people dont doubt yet i think well do good or at least have a decent start
June 17, 200620 yr We need a solid 6-7 inning from him. If he is able to allow less than two runs I think we shall be fine.
June 17, 200620 yr We need a solid 6-7 inning from him. If he is able to allow less than two runs I think we shall be fine. ALLOW LESS THAN 2 RUNS? Vs. Toronto's lineup is asking too much. He hasn't allowed LESS than 2 runs all year. Moehler has allowed 91 hits in 66 IP!!! Just keep us in the game.... Last 6 starts for MOE....5 good ones... @PITT 7.1 IP, 2 ER @ TB 7 IP, 2 ER CHC 7 IP, 3 ER SF 6 IP, 2 ER @SF 4 IP, 8 ER @SD 7 IP, 2 ER Now keep in mind that 4 of his 5 good starts came against VERY BAD offensive teams (PITT, TB, CHC, SD). I'd be happy if Moe could give us 6 IP, 3 ER tonight vs. a very good offensive team.
June 17, 200620 yr If Moe has a bad start, someone else will get his starts. Either Petit, or Ungs or Sanchez will get called up. This is the start that decides it for Moe IMO.
June 17, 200620 yr A win tonight pushes us ahead of the Nationals and potentially tied with the Braves.

I'd imagine Moehler is secure until at least the All-Star break. Ungs will never start a game for the Florida Marlins. :plain
June 17, 200620 yr I am kinda nervous about Moe pitching. This Blue Jay team can rake and that scares me. Hopefully Moe can be ON tonight. :::praying:::
June 17, 200620 yr Why do you say that? Ungs aint half bad. he spent 3 years in AA... he SHOULD be called up, but i would'nt be surprised if the Fish never
June 17, 200620 yr Why do you say that? Ungs aint half bad. he spent 3 years in AA... he SHOULD be called up, but i would'nt be surprised if the Fish never I like Ungs a lot and coming into this year his career minor league stats were: 40-31 with a 3.35 ERA. He doesn't have great stuff but the guy just knows how to pitch. I really hope he gets a chance somewhere....maybe in our bullpen. Ungs is 26 now but he's only walked 114 in 651 IP....not bad at all.
June 17, 200620 yr To be honest, I'm always a little nervous when Moehler's on the mound for us. I just hope our offense can give him enough run support and he pitches a good game.

Moe has been doing fine lately. Going against this high powered ofeense isn't going to change any minds one way or the other. And let's not forget that GI Joe has a soft spot for him. Good start or not, Moe stays in the rotation.

He ain't on the 40 man... that's killer for his hopes at this time.

June 17, 200620 yr Why do you say that? Ungs aint half bad. He's a decent middle of the road prospect...but with the likes of Pinto, Petit & Sanchez (in the short term) and the future arms (Volstad, West, Gaby, Thompson, etc.) it's just a numbers game with him.
June 17, 200620 yr Hopefully we can hit Casey Janssen, the 2005 Toronto Blue Jays Minor League Player of the Year. Lets get em' bats!
