This team has broken so many records this season. Just amazing.

And they should continiue to due so :) I say vote Cabs for MVP

If the Fish can finish over .500, I see no reason why Cabs wouldn't be an instant MVP contender.

i agree...while he may not have 300000000000 homeruns this year, he has done anything we could have hoped for and turned into the leader we so desired

OPS is the best means to value a power hitter, and Miggy is way up there.

Exactly. To baseball writers and anaylsts, OPS is the biggest stat out there, and I'm pretty sure Miguel's is I believe second in the NL? He's got ALL the numbers except for the home runs, but if he can reach a little over 30 I think he SHOULD win it pending on where we finish up the year in the standings.

I implore everyone who attends a game from here on in to chant MVP before every Miggy at bat or following any of his heroics.

Remember, this is voted on by writers, and as a law, most sports writers are dumb and easily impressionable...do your part.

Also, I'm thinking of creating a general form letter to e-mail to all members of the local media to start the MVP campaign, I urge anyone to do the same.

It didn't work for Flash.

I would write a story on Cabrera's MVP chase for the Boca News, but that wouldn't be too effective. It's not like everybody exactly reads the Boca News... haha

The NBA's a different animal, though.

He just took the Marlin record for most rbi in a month by getting his 31st rbi in August. He still has 4 games to increase that mark.

he didn't take it, he earned it, ok :notworthy :notworthy
