They are pretty much saying Loria has problems.

Kruk- If Loria fires him it would be the biggest mistake.

Oh and they said we had 14 people in the stands... More like 13k to me :mischief .

:lol :lol :lol

"If they fire him this could be the biggest mistake they've ever made, and remember, these are the Florida Marlins, they've had two firesales."

:lol :lol :lol :lol

Yay Loria!

Regardless of the legitmacy of Loria's behavior towards Girardi, it does nothing more than confirm the perception most people have that this is a Mickey Mouse organization. That's been my problem with Loria since the start of the conflict. In every aspect of professionalism, Loria is all thumbs.

That's the way I feel about the situation. No matter whose side your on, this situation looks bad for the whole organization and that is Loria's fault.

BBTN had something on Joe and Loria. Basically they said keep him. If they dont, they will regret it.

Look at what he had to deal with this year, a payroll of 15mill.

I agree with this point, if Joe is let go.....he won't be unemployed, as a MLB manager, for very long.....

7 game win streak, in the wildcard hunt and this is what is being talked about. :plain

isnt it nice though that bbtn talks more about loria/girardi then about the marlins, who have won 7 straight now and are in serious wild card contention and without a doubt the best story in baseball...if it was the red sox who won today, they would have a god damn half hour special on how the world should bow down to the mighty sawx...fact is...we are closer to the post season than they are

There must have been some crazy plays for that to be 5.

Personally I would have loved to see Prince's little temper tantrum :D

Yep.

They even ditched our attendance on Miggy's web gem.

The media is so freaking happy to have this alleged owner/manager controversy to talk about because that enables them to skirt their least favorite topic in baseball:

THE MARLINS ARE ACTUALLY IN THIS THING!

If Joe and Jeff were smart, they would keep the thing going - to keep the pressure and hype off the players and let our boys just keep winning ballgames. Who knows, maybe it IS all intentional - if so, ingenious!

The Marlins winning being ESPN's least favorite topic in all of baseball is one of the dumbest things I've heard on this board. And that's saying a lot.

I guess I could have inserted "one of" into my post for our more obsessive readers who take every last word to heart!

I think most get my drift.

:-)

I couldnt see the game today, so I waited an hour and a half through ESPN news for a marlins highlight...I was dissapointed.

Even, if its an exciting game like that, they refused to put it on.

BBTN and ESPN hit a new low. I can understand catering to the big markets, but giving so much air time to some disagrements within the Marlins organization is idiotic.

This has been blown out of proportions. Joe won't get fired this season, so why bother so much about what happend? This is an off-season issue.

They even said, that St Louis would have an easy time holding the division because their are playing the Marlins and Pirates next week. WTF?
