September 6, 200619 yr Who, currently, even without the strongest of seasons, is a 1st round NFL draft talent in the QB position? I have come up with Troy Smith, Chris Leak, Brady Quinn, and Jeff Rowe. Are there any others?
September 6, 200619 yr I'm not sure Chris Leak will be in the first round. Or 2nd. But then, I haven't read any experts. Thats just based on my opinion of him.
September 6, 200619 yr Author Jeff Rowe is Nevadas QB. He is one of those non BCS guys with a NFL arm and body. Whoever gets him is getting a NFL calibre starter. I like Leak. And also think he will go high. But I could be wrong.

September 6, 200619 yr doubt Quinn goes number one Palmer's little brother will be up there. Drew Stanton will be up there. Leak wont be a top 2 round pick, his size is way too small.
September 6, 200619 yr chris leak is going to be lucky to be drafted the second day. i'm a gator fan, but he's not the type of player the NFL looks for.
September 6, 200619 yr if quinn goes # 1...its on mostly hype...brohm is the guy who most looks like an nfl QB to me...although since AJ Feeley still has a job...i can safely say, that what an NFL QB looks like is purely in the eyes of the beholder
September 6, 200619 yr I think people are underestimating Leak... Look at what he's done. He's obviously got the talent. People need to sometimes look past size. I just can't wait for the Tebow era to begin. And I'm a Canes fan.
September 6, 200619 yr Author I want the Panthers to take Rowe, but would also be extremely happy with Leak. Either would be fine as jakes eventual successor. Leak is from Charlotte as well.

Smith has a helluva arm and can throw it accurately. The fact he can ruin gives him the edge of Quinn IMO.
September 6, 200619 yr Quinn Brohm (if he declares) Smith Leak is not a first rounder. The guy is like 5'9" at best and doesn't have the arm strength or motion to get it done in the NFL.

September 6, 200619 yr Leak has no chance for NFL success. Short, awful footwork, sub-par field vision. I just don't think he'd cut it.

September 7, 200619 yr Drew Stanton is a helluva QB The more I think about it, the more I agree with you. He's as good of a prospect that goes unnoticed as anyone I've seen before. He's got NFL size, good speed and a strong, accurate arm... I'm not good at projecting NFL drafts or anything, but he is an NFL QB that has to go in the first round, maybe before any other QB.
