Posted March 25, 200718 yr How many people do you expect will be at the home opener againt Philidelphia?
March 25, 200718 yr I tried getting tickets late last night online. There really are not tickets left. Should be a packed house.
March 25, 200718 yr There are no tickets left? Not even if i buy them the day of the game in the stadium?
March 25, 200718 yr There are still singles in the infield box and pairs in the upper deck (both behind home-plate) a lot of tickets for events like this are held by the organization for late season ticket sales. 2 to 3 days before the event should give a much better indication of how crowded it will be. PS: anyone notice that the Marlins are selling the batter's box seats on ticket-master now? We're really hard up... :confused

March 25, 200718 yr If we can get to 40,000 I will be happy. Â I just hope we dont start off as poorly as we did last season (11-31) so that attendance will be better than lasts years.

March 25, 200718 yr Well if you buy your tickets at the gate, you avoid those bulls*** Ticketmaster service fees. or the Marlins store if you live in Miami, Coral Gables, South Miami, etc...
March 25, 200718 yr I say less than 40K, although I'll be there. Is it just me, or has this been the least "pubbed" Marlins opener ever? Usually there is at least "bad" press, but this year there seems to be no Marlins news other than stadium news.
March 25, 200718 yr i'll be making the long drive from gainesville to miami two weeks after the home owner against the nationals i expect me and 9,000 other hearty souls will be rooting the marlins on. i hope the opener draws 45k but i think it will be around 35k
March 26, 200718 yr My wife and two kids, mother and father in law, an uncle, brother and sister in law with their two kids, and one more friend (11 total) are flying over from California for that game (I wish I could go, but I have finals the next week). Â Gotta cheer on Ricky Nolasco in his first start of the year! Go Fish!
