jmenjes
I'll be checking the games out, rooting for the US team. I just flipped on GOL for the heck of it and what do I hear but the dulcet tones of Ray Hudson. Man, do I miss the Fusion...
fishfan25
Good luck at the cup. Tough group both Chile and the U.S. got though. Luckily, we got a really easy group. ya they did. ya you guys are in Group A. Chile has to deal with mexico and brazil but i think they can handle ecuador. Hopefully there games are on the spanish channel because it just feels right to watch soccer in spanish, but eh i'll probably switch back and forth with the other channel as well. btw i love the guy that goes GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....:I need to breathe: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLL. i laugh because it seems like forever. METSrosexual
Juan Roman Riquelme returns to La Albiceleste after saying in September that he had played his last game for the national team. This officially makes Argentina the winner of Copa America 2007. You head it here first.

Yeah he does Spanish Primera games and also co-hosts the show "American Soccer." GOLTV pwns. Now if only Junior does anything in the second half of the season so that they show more of their games than getting blown out 4-0 against Cali... :whistle

Semi-finals* Brazils top players aren't going to be playing during the copa as expected. I'm excited to see what Robinho can do without Ronaldinho, Kaka and Ronaldo. METSrosexual
Brasil's second or third team is still centuries better than whatever Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru and the rest have to offer.
urumotherpucker94
Uruguay has a great history of beating Brazil. In World Cups, World Cup Qualifying, and Copa America. In the last Copa America, Uruguay lost to Brazil's A team in penalty kicks on the semifinals. Could've won if it wasn't for Dario Silva missing the open net goal. Also in the eliminatorias, we tied in Brazil 3-3 and tied in Montevideo. And all of those are their A teams. So we would kick Brazil's 3rd strings ass. Vamo la celeste! JetsMania
The best senario would be if USA beats mexico in the tourny thats going on now, only to face them again in the copa america (and beat them again). I hope USA can go as far as possible in the Copa America. I just dont want brazil or mexico to win.

METSrosexual
Day 1 kicked off with a shocking Peru victory, 3-0 over Uruguay. Goal of the tournament so far by Marino in this one. Bolivia came back to tie what was looking like a nice home opening win for Venezuela, 2-2.

Mexico brought the B team while Brazil brought their C team. The US brought their F- team while Argentina brought their A team. Tough luck. JJ24
Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra were left off. Should be fun to Eddie Johnson in more of a increased role this year as opposed to his world cup playing time last year.
Guest Night Phantom
I'm glad that Johnson will get an increased role, but why leave those four off? Lame.
JJ24
I think they said that they were all given rest because of the gold cup except Donovan chose to go back to the Galaxy instead of play.
