YESS!! Even though it won't look or sound like the old show, at least it's something. Watching clips of the show on youtube lately has really got me looking forward to new stuff.

That show used to scare the sh*t out of me as a kid.

The host (Robert Stack) was a vital part of the show. For it to succeed, it needs a host that can scare the crap out of you, but will also be your best friend throughout the telecast. Any nominations?

It won't be the same without Robert Stack.

No kidding, I loved this show as a kid. It got me creeped out so much. I used to be convinced I was about to spontaneously combust.

It scared the crap out of me sometimes as a kid, yet I still watched it.

Yeah, it's really hard to see this working without Robert Stack. Seems like a pretty strange programming choice for HBO, but maybe they'll be able to go places with it that regular network TV couldn't go.

It's not necessarily airing on HBO, they are just one of the producers, I think.

I also used to get scared s***less by the show, especially when they did the ghost and alien bits.

Had a family friend on this show back in the day...was murdered and no one had any idea what the hell happened...

 

but ya I agree...this show always scared the sh*t outta me...the theme music was what got me every time.

I didn't think I'd get creeped out, I just burned it on a CD to reminisce a little bit while I was on the road, but sure enough, it came on when it was dark out and I was driving through the woods. :mischief

haha, nice. one song i could never hear in the dark was the x files theme. that's some creepy sh*t.

My grandpa used to babysit me, and id be sitting there playing with my ninja turtles, and unsolved mysteries would come on. My grandpa would at that exact moment turn off all the lights and go to bed.

 

This show is the sole reason I was terrified of the dark when I was a little kid. Nightmare on Elms Street, Village of the Damned(well, that one creeped the hell out of me, still does), Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, etc...none of that crap got to me like USM did.
