Andrew Miller

If Miller has another really bad outing like he had during his first start, do you guys think that he might get sent down ala RVH

Absolutely.

I personally think the Tigers rushed him to the Bigs a tad bit. If he does bad tonight, I wouldn't mind seeing Miller spend a good part of the remainder of the year in the minors to work on some stuff.

I hope so.

I think, just like the Hurk, Miller needs to work on some stuff. He's barely had anytime in the minors. He was rushed. With that said, I hope he can turn it around tonight, no doubt.

I think he'll get a little more rope than RVH.

I think so too, but if he does get sent down Volstad could get a call.

No point in rushing Volstad either.

After seeing him today so far I dont see how he is any different from Hurk, yeah good stuff, but cant throw strikes... whats the point? he's young man, let him get work where it doesnt cost the big club a loss every five days. And please spare me the responses that read: "like one more loss is going to matter, etc."

I have this picture in my head of a revolving door. On one side is the Minors, on the other is the Marlins team.

Wait.

I see Miller going into the the door, just don't know who is going to come back out. funny if VandenHurk comes back.

Some of you keep talking about what great stuff he has. His mid-high 80's fastball, terrible changeup and pedestrian slider coupled with terrible command have yet to impress me. I know throwing hard isn't everything, but damn.

So you've missed the numerous times he's dialed it up to the mid 90's, then?

I know being "realistic" is your bit, but can you at least be informed, too?

I didn't get to go to any spring training games this year but from all the buzz I was expecting 96-97 mph fastball against the Mets he topped out at 91 . Maybe his arm is tired but so far the velocity has not been there .

I think he had one at 94 and one at 93. I don't understand the Randy Johnson comparisons.
