Featured Replies

Pretty Simple Im Making an All Time Greatest Marlin Team for MLB 2K8 and im stuck on who to pick so

Just Vote for who you think are the Greatest Marlins of All Time

for pitchers there is a limit os only vote for 5 starting and relief pitchers

if You feel some 1 should be on the list somewhere dont vote for that position and ill add him so you can vote

Have Fun and Vote

:thumbup

Jorge Julio FTW

Also, where's my option to vote for Jaques Jones? Dan Milici? BY Kim?

You have a lot of players out of position.

like who i can fix it i hope jk lol

Well, for starters Borowski and Todd Jones were closers, here.

Second, I might've been too young, but I believe I remember '97 well enough, as I was a fan back then, as well. I believe Devon White was the starting CF'er that year.

Also...out of all the guys, you could've listed twice...Vladimir "I hated the guy" Nunez was listed twice.

Borowski had 36 saves in '04.

Todd Jones had 40 saves in '05 with a 2.10 ERA and 1.03 WHIP.

At the very least, Jones should be listed as a closer.

the team i picked:

C - Ivan

1B - Lee

2B - Castillo

3B - Cabrera

SS - Hanley

LF - Conine

CF - Pierre

RF - Sheffield

SP - Brown/Beckett/Burnett/Dontrelle/Livan

RP - honestly i just randomly picked 3 (Looper, Lindstrom, Borowski)

CL - Jones/Urbina

this is what i would make the batting order:

1. Hanley

2. Pierre/Castillo

3. Lee

4. Cabrera

5. Sheffield

6. Ivan

7. Conine

8. Pierre/Castillo

9. pitcher

If Kevin Brown isn't the ace of your staff...you did it wrong. His ERA+ of 216 in '96 said so...

I would've liked to see Benitez in the closer options. He had the best season of any closer for the Fish if i'm not mistaken.

Brian Harvey?

Brian Harvey?

Harvey is the best closer to wear a Marlin's jersey ever, It also would have been nice to be able to put Cabrera in LF, I felt Lowell is the best 3rd baseman in franchise history

beckett was great until he would get a blister like every other start....and why isn't alex fernandez not a choice?

SP - Johnson/Nolasco/Beckett/Livan/Hough

RP - just going to list a few....joe nelson, benitez, lindstorm, looper, if i think of any others i will add it here.

CL - Urbina

1. Hanley

2. Pierre/Castillo

3. Lee

4. Cabrera

5. Sheffield

6. Ivan

7. Conine

8. Pierre/Castillo

9. pitcher

1.Chuc karr( sorry for spelling doing all this from top of my head)2. Luis Castillo3. D Lee4. Hanley5. Mike Lowell6. Sheffield7. Pudge8.Conine

9. pitchers spot

doesn't have to be in that order it could be switched around.

I think the best line up would be

Castillo

Hanley

Miguey

Sheffield

Conine

Lee

Pudge

Pierre

P

Rotation

Brown/AJ Burnett/Dontrelle/Josh BecKett/NolasKo

Bullpen

Powell

Jones

Jo Bo

Looper

Lindy

Nenn as the Closer

Bench

Uggla

Lowell

Redmond

Cantu

Carr

Was Looper ever that good for us? Wasn't he the reason we got Urbina?

Looper wasn't bad at all, 3.69 ERA for us, 3.68 ERA in 2003 and 3.14 ERA in 2002.

I'd have Niner at 1b, Lowell at 3b and Cabrera in LF, that is if DLee wasn't an option at first. Don't understand all the votes for Pudge he only played the one season and if you're basing that on his clutch performance than you'd certainly put Renteria out there at SS. Either way these are always fun to do. :D

Really...the relievers listed don't really tell us who the Greatest Marlin reliever of all-time is.

The two best relievers the Marlins have had in their history...were not listed.
