September 17, 200818 yr of course were aiming for the division but philly is lookin good lately! so reasonably i think our only real chance is the wild card! brew crew, astros, and mets have been slumping lately so nows our chance to gain some ground! lets make it 7th straight tomorrow NolasKo!!!
September 17, 200818 yr The future is what you make it to be so the Marlins control their own destiny.
September 17, 200818 yr up hopefully we swep astros and if we sweep philly...boy would that be nice after that 1 at cincinatti 3 at was(sweep lol) and 3 at ny...it isn't impossible but it sure as hell would prob take a sweep of every team
September 17, 200818 yr First off we need to make it 4 games before seeing Philly or NYM to make this really happen. Sweep the Mets, take 2 of 3 from the Phillies, win every other game, this is definately a possibility. Margin of error? 1 loss, preferably not to the Mets or Phillies, is our option.
September 17, 200818 yr keep winning idc how we do it why or who just win WC is the best option though but the Phillies and muts can collaspse but we gotta take care of the Phillies PERSONALLY
September 17, 200818 yr For some reason, I thought the OP wanted to know the Marlins' players AIM(s) (online) before I opened the thread.
September 17, 200818 yr I thought this was gonna be a thread with the AOL screenames of marlins players LOL. But yeah, I have to admit I totally gave up hope (shame on me) the last month or so.... but wow they are looking good! If anything, this is going to be an exciting finish. With Nolasco on the hill tomorrow, #7 is looking prettttty good.

September 17, 200818 yr Personally I think the Phillies will win the division. If we manage to sweep the Astros then we will have the same record as them, leaving only the Muts and the Brew Crew in front of us in the WC. If 2 teams are tied at the end of the season do they use head-to-head to seperate them or just set up a one off game instead?

In '95, the Angels and Mariners played a 1 game playoff to declare the winner of the AL West following the largest swan song in hisotry by the Angels. I do not know the current rules, as collective bargaining might have changed the scenario. But seeing as Bud Selig is now the commissioner and how he like games to decide things (see All-Star game), I suppose it's still a 1 game playoff.
September 17, 200818 yr Man if we could knock NY out of the PO again and this time get our selves in oh that would be sweet. Oh yeah it be a great way for the mets to finsh off shea choking again.

Oh yeh cos didnt Colorado and San Diego have a 1 game playoff last year?
September 17, 200818 yr Just win. We're too far back to be really serious about it now, but just keep winning and we'll see where we're at in about a week.
September 17, 200818 yr we're not making the playoffs, however I'd be happy just effing the Mets again.
