How would McCain be any better?

He would quite simply have to be. At least McCain would challenge the congress, Obama wont do that.

McCain would mean four more years of the 'Bush and republican' excuse and just delaying the inevitable for a democratic sweep (like we are seeing now) in 2012. '

No excuses or Bush to run against in 2012, now we just need to hope the republican party gets back to their roots of limited government and personal responsibility.

The worst choice for president in the history of our nation is likely going to win.

Clearly you dont know anything about United States history then, or perhaps the last two elections, or perhaps who numerous presidents like John Quincy Adams were, do you?

God, if McCain were elected I would not be going "oh all hell is going to break lose" simply because I am upset that my candidate did not win. Both of them cant do much harm considering Bush was our last president and there is only room for improvement, but Obama is clearly the better choice (though I would be the first to admit if he does make our country fail, what ever, you can say I told you so all you want, but right now the better choice BY WORD is Obama, maybe not by action (George W. Bush)).

Bush has nothing on Obama. At least Bush was qualified for the job, wasn't clueless on foreign policy(whether you want to believe it or not), and wasnt a product of the most corrupt government in American history.

This post is laughable.

1. Bush was not in anyway qualified for the job.

2. Bush is clueless on just about everything

3. He wasn't the product of corruption HE WAS part of the most corrupt and socialist government ever seen in the history of America.

How is Obama "clearly the better choice"? As a state senator, he was just plain bad at the job. He won a U.S. Senate seat unopposed and has essentially spent his entire time there campaigning. His entire political career has either him being really bad at it or him doing nothing at all.

I hope the Rep party goes back to its root, but I think those days are gone. . .Gov is going to continue to expand, and it is very difficult to reduce Gov expansion and win on that platform (of massive reduction). I hate to say it, but I think Bush Gov is going to look small in 4 years.

Now...If the American system collapses, that's another story. That's like pushing a re-set bottom and start from scratch (which I will never root for!!)

So guess which third party candidate has the highest % of votes in any single state? That's right - Ron Paul with 1.6% of the vote in Montana right now and he's not even running! pretty cool, hope it stands up. :thumbup

I toast my Three Philosophers (hic) to Ron Paul who in all seriousness represented himself and his ideals very well in a party that seemed to have forgotten them. Personally I hadn't heard him all that much before the primaries, and at this point I think extremely highly of him. I think he'll help to reinvigorate a movement that had been relatively quiet for the past few elections.

So here's what I think now that it's official: Obviously i don't agree with just about any of Obama's stances on issues, BUT I think it's an absolutely beautiful thing to see a black man get elected to the presidency. I never thought we would see this happen so soon, I'm still pretty shocked by it.

Lots of black people in this country have experienced racism in this country, and I can only imagine how great this must make them feel and that makes me happy. I also loathe racism, this might sound odd, but I especially hate seeing it against black people by white Americans, it sickens me and I truly hate those people and to know how sh*tty they must be feeling right about now also makes me joyful.

Another thing is I hold out hope that the world will once again actually respect this country. Most of the world hates us right now, but they do seem to love Obama. I just hope he doesn't screw that up by letting his war mongering VP have too much influence on him, but Obama can have an influence on how the world views us.
