April 16, 200916 yr I think the 2004 team did it, as well. According to what I have heard only the 97 team started 8-1 and it stands as our best start ever, that's just what I have heard though, don't remember how we started in '04. Edit: actually you are correct.  http://www.newswatch50.com/sports/story/Ro...Oy-9jn4LoA.cspx

April 16, 200916 yr I dont want to get to excited. I remember getting really excited after the 2004 start, but that season didnt end well. Â Lets go out and take at least 2 out of 3 from washington.

April 16, 200916 yr And with the next 2 series being against Washington and Pittsburgh we have a fantastic chance of improving to 12-3 or 13-2
April 16, 200916 yr And with the next 2 series being against Washington and Pittsburgh we have a fantastic chance of improving to 12-3 or 13-2Â No jinx, please. :whistle I certainly hope you're right, though.
April 17, 200916 yr If I had any money I'd drive up to DC for a game or two this weekend... oh well, maybe later in the season.
April 17, 200916 yr hey darren im gonna be there too... GO FISH!!!! You two have fun. Something to keep you busy between innings....... See if you can pick up on Bo's ritual. Something a little tougher..... See if you can catch Andy timing the National Anthem. Sometimes he's a little slick about that.
April 17, 200916 yr wow...13 in the first 9 is impressive...I was about to comment about us being tied for the league low 28 earned runs against thus far, but 13 just destroys that number...
April 17, 200916 yr Really impressed... you can tell this is a team where any one player in the lineup can step up and win a game at any time. I love the way the pen has really settled in to their roles the last few games. Would love to see them go in to washington and pound them like they should.
