April 20, 200916 yr This is a difficult one. I will go with Jeremy Hermida because of these reasons... 1. He drove in the go ahead run in the first game. 2. Hit the game tying and game winning homer in the 2nd game. 3. He worked a walk in the 9th so Cody could bat. If Jeremy never would have walked Cody would not have hit the double. Cody was my next choice... this was so difficult.
April 20, 200916 yr I voted for Cody because he really broke out this week, which is great to see. I'm sure it didn't hurt that he was amazing the last couple of games just prior to this vote. Hermida was amazing this week, though. Also, Gload 7 BB and 0 K is insane.
April 20, 200916 yr I agree with Hollyberry that this was a tough choice. I chose Ross. If the poll was before yesterday's game, I would have picked Hermida. Hermy was the hero on Saturday night and played another nice game yesterday (with a nice catch in foul territory right in front of my seats). But Ross started hitting this week and he had two big hits yesterday. Hate that the pick seems like "What have you done for me lately," but it is what it is.
April 20, 200916 yr This one is very difficult, and while Jeremy had a fantastic week and series... Gotta go with Cody here. But I think it's been overlooked how much Hermida was improved with his plate discipline, and his walk rate has been phenomenal.
April 20, 200916 yr Sucks that Hermida has to be left out, but Cody here. He had the better week, despite Hermida being excellent.
April 20, 200916 yr Let's not ignore Gload either. He had a pretty good week drawing walks. True, but when you only start 1 out of the 6 games, you can't really get any votes here.
April 20, 200916 yr I voted for Cody and even tho it isnt an option in the poll, the bullpen deserves a lot of praise for their immaculate performances during the week
April 20, 200916 yr Let's not ignore Gload either. He had a pretty good week drawing walks. True, but when you only start 1 out of the 6 games, you can't really get any votes here. It actually says something pretty remarkable that a guy with one start the whole week, in a week that we didn't lose a ball game, is on this list. Seriously, think about that for a minute...
April 20, 200916 yr Rabb is banking on/confused by the fact that the word 'fish' can be both a plural and singular noun.
April 20, 200916 yr Cody got my vote, but pursuant to Rabb's point, I considered voting for Lindstrom. Hermida too. Cody's numbers are amazing AND his hitting has been extremely clutch. I also love the way Gload is playing. When your team is 11-1, it is hard to chose just one stand-out!
April 20, 200916 yr One group should be on this list: The Bullpen. I'd vote for them over Cody. this.
April 20, 200916 yr Rabb is banking on/confused by the fact that the word 'fish' can be both a plural and singular noun. Banking on. That reasoning is exactly why I included the bullpen as an option when I started my "Fish of the Game" thread.
April 20, 200916 yr One group should be on this list: The Bullpen. I'd vote for them over Cody. +1. But I guess I'll vote for Cody.
April 20, 200916 yr The team's performance thus far has suggested that every player will have a piece of this title every week, with our pitching and offense complimenting each other so well. That being said, Cody was a standout this time around. Nice to see him getting that swing back at a time when our other big bats are stifled.
April 20, 200916 yr The most consistent out of does players were Baker and Gload throught the whole week but if you're talking who had the best weekend, I would have to say Ross and Jermy. I gave my vote to Baker but the bullpen was the best performer the for the entire week.
