Posted April 23, 200916 yr Besides sit down restaraunts and the ones you and your buddy grill, what is your favorite "classic" burger?
April 24, 200916 yr Good hamburgers, and apparently some nice fur burgers too:Â http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4632991n
April 24, 200916 yr In N Out is soooooooooooooooo good that or whitecastle. Chili's also has a badass burger
April 24, 200916 yr There's a few here I haven't tried, but I do like Five Guys so they get my vote. I don't think of White Castles as 'burgers', but they are great for snacking on.
April 24, 200916 yr Hardee's and Steak and Sheak (two different kind of burgers) top the list. Only other burger I had that I liked from fast food was uh, backyard burger. Those are up there with Hardee's.
April 24, 200916 yr When I lived in Louisville I lived down the street from Steak and Shake. Awesome burgers and the shakes were the best.
April 24, 200916 yr A Whataburger burger is the best burger I've ever had (says someone with Texas bias).
April 24, 200916 yr None because I do not eat hamburgers. This is what I get for being a health/nutrition major.
April 24, 200916 yr I have to make a write-in vote for JACK'S Old Fashioned Hamburger's with 2 locations, Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. For those out of the area, sorry. For those here, try it if you haven't already. Afterwards have some BLUE BELL ice cream. :notworthy
April 24, 200916 yr I don't know all these places, but Steak and Shake is a sit-down restaurant. And Fuddruckers kinda is.
April 24, 200916 yr I can't even remember the last time I had a hamburger. Unhealthy food, bleh! Everything I eat now is basically boring and low in fat/calories.
April 24, 200916 yr never heard of 5 guys but it seems like it's good. do they have a restaurant down in miami?
April 24, 200916 yr Heart Attack Grill? Jeez. I'm all for a gigantic burger, but coating the buns in lard?! That's just a bit too much.
April 24, 200916 yr never heard of 5 guys but it seems like it's good. do they have a restaurant down in miami? Yeah they got some, they just opened one near my house, just look up their website on google and they have a store locator on there so you can see what's close to you.
April 24, 200916 yr I can't even remember the last time I had a hamburger. Unhealthy food, bleh! Everything I eat now is basically boring and low in fat/calories. Funny. I have fond memories of Steak and Shake, although its been 18 years since I ate a burger there. I've been a vegetarian since 1991. I don't miss eating meat at all but I did enjoy burgers - comfort food I guess. I love veggie burgers now.
April 24, 200916 yr The best burgers are the ones my dad cooks on the BBQ :thumbup  One of the nicest I've had in the States, can't remember where, was a chicken burger covered in HOT buffalo wing sauce. I was sweating buckets but it was so good!

April 24, 200916 yr In n Out - double double animal style ...... so good I like whataburger as well (their fries are incredible when they have their crap together) - service there is painful though Steak & Shake is neat when I head out that way Carls is solid Fuddruckers is good Heart Attack Grill was pretty good. The burgers are well cooked, the fries are kind of in a serve your own buffet and also good, service is good, the owner is a friendly guy who wants to make sure everyone is having fun, the beer/soda is pulled from coolers ice cold (and the coke is in bottles made with cane sugar - not hfcs) ...... the eye candy wasn't as good as advertized though - if that is what you are looking for out here grab a beer at the library or swing by the titled kilt for a meal
