Bonifacio's Nickname

Featured Replies

There was a thread a couple weeks back about what Emilio Bonifacio's nickname should be. In my house, his nick is EHF - short for eye high fastball. Just a random note.

It's already been established that his nickname is "Boner Face."

Bonerface Bonerface Bonerface

I still like Buck Money.. cuz that's about what he's worth...a buck.

Isn't that Wes Helms?

LOLOL true about Helms!

I'm still partial to one week wonder, so there is my vote!

... and Cody Ross looks like Rob Corddry

[ps - do an unfiltered google img search for 'cody ross' and see how many pictures you end up seeing of "Cody" and "Ross"... :knockout ]

Probably the most childish thread I have ever seen on here.

thanks for the feedback!

how bout we start a pointless, personal, off-topic argument? would that make it more grown-up for you?

You want positive feedback on calling one of our players childish names? Seeing that NOT ONE player is hitting with anything close to regularity, wanna start calling them immature names also? Like Cody at the start of the season, maybe it would have pleased you if I started calling him Cody Butt-floss back then.

Sorry. Not going to lower myself to the "Tee-hee-hee. He said boner" type of commentary. But I will comment when threads like this one get to the 8th grade level. It's obvious some are actually hoping he fails so they can start with the I told you so's.

Boni has been adjusting his plate disipline lately. Last night took the count to 7 the first two times up, resulting in getting on base via an error and scoring the only Marlins run. Is he where I would like him to be offensively? Nope. But he's learning and making adjustments. Young players take a little more time to make those adjustments. Seeing as how his defense has been pretty darn good, I'm willing to wait and see if he can continue to adjust to the adjustments.

Maybe some, so shame on them anyhow. I still think he needs a nickname.

I can live with '

', 'EB', 'Boni', and maybe the occasional 'Boner' when he performs one. :mischief
