Nolasco to AAA

Leroux over Hensley?

Leroux was already on the 40man to protect him from last years rule 5 draft.

I'm also sad because I was suppose to go down to Miami tomorrow, but other sh*t has come up. Woulda been cool to be there for Wests first start.

Oh, wasn't aware. Thanks.

Same here.

I might see if I can go to the game... but I'd have to leave early :( .

West's 4.9 era is inflated from a 9 runs in 3 innings game on May 1st. He's has been pretty good his last couple games giving up 2 runs on 7 hits in his last 2 starts (11.2 innings). But yes, it's probably a year too soon....

There's no way he's ready. We're going to need to make a move.

Ben Sheets?

Jake Peavy!

Can't believe how far Ricky has fallen. Hopefully, he figures things out in a few weeks and can contribute up here for most of the rest of the year. We need him.

Davidson DFA'd, not sent to AAA.

Leroux and his 5.89 ERA in the majors...ruh roh.

(My post went up first! But I concede defeat)

Like a high MLB ERA has stopped us before. Koronka's MLB ERA was over 6 when he got called.

I actually meant in the minors...that's Leroux's ERA in AA.

...

ok guys, I'm truely getting worried about the Marlins FO and their decisions.

Looks like I've been saying the truth this whole time about this front office huh? They are terrible! These guys are all frauds! Admin Beinfest is a joke! People credit him so much for us winning in 2003 but honestly other then Dontrelle what else did he do?

He had Cabrera, and that was thanks to Dombrowski! Dave really built that team, and they just added pudge, and a couple of guys like JP who we got to replace Preston Wilson because JP would be cheaper, and it turned out well.

They had a lot of luck with a good system left for them, and what they have done ever since is tear it apart! Limb by Limb, and peice by peice, and people now wonder why is it that everyone we bring up sucks!? Because we keep turning over the line up every year or every other year once guys get "expensive."

This is called "Rebuild mode" we are on it to expect to be better then this is a simple joke! Uggla, and Cantu will both be gone soon, as will Ross, and anyone making serious cash, and they will keep getting younger, and younger, and with how piss poor this pitching is don't be shocked if they listen for a trade for Hanley.

We have like 120 SS in our system afterall...

And these guys are on another level when it comes to stupid!

Peavy would be amazing but he has a few years left on is contract for huge money so it's not happening... plus we need a 3B and a LF on top of more pitching. The Coghlan in LF experiment is a disaster.

He has had massive walk problems (last 5 starts: 20 walks in 25.1inn, and no, that's not just due to one bad start, and he's given up 9 blasts on the year, averaging nearly per 9 inn. Not happy about him being up.

Jesus Christ----and I just picked up Ricky in Both My Fantasy leagues hoping he'll rebound.

Dammit.

I hope west can turn this around. Looks like I'll be at his 1st big league start on my birthday! Yay!

7 of those HRs have come in only 2 games with 4 from that 9 run game. The other 2 home runs were solo homer runs so no big deal. He's cut down on the walks his last 2 appearances. My real point is judging a pitcher by his era can sometimes be deceiving (matt lindstrom for instance), and I think that is the case with West. I'm not particularly thrilled either, but I don't think he wail fail miserably.

Wow, who would have thought wed be sending nolasco to aaa at the beginning of this year. He has really lost it.

West please come up and do like voly did in his first ML start and save our pen.

Yeah, I was just kidding about Peavy, guys. Would be nice though.

What we cant afford him? It would be nice if we were the yanks or sox and could just add studs.

It would be nice if Nolasco pulls a Brett Myers and comes back lights out. Lord knows we need him.

But it was way to early to call up Sean West. This move isn't good and being upset before finding out about this move really kills me.

Peavy isn't unthinkable though. The issue is that he would be somebody you trade for at the start of the year, eat his big contract for that season, than trade him at the end, getting worse specs in return but having an bonafide ace for a season.

The problem is his no trade clause means that 1) he'd have to want to come here 2) it limits our trade options after the season.

He's also somebody that we'd only be able to handle of the rest of our payroll is down. This year we might be able to pull it off, but there's no way we can have him on the books next year, teams will also understand that, equals even less value for us in return.

hahaha I remember in spring I said on mlb.com on the marlins page forum that Nolasco's last year could have been a fluke, and people who pick him in their fantasy leagues were going to be in for a rude awakening if it does turn out to be a fluke! lol

OOPS!

Yeah Peavy is a Pipe dream, an he doesnt want to leave the west coast which is why he didnt allow his trade... I would not doubt if Hanley goes on the market for some pitching...

Yep I said it... I expect it from this front office.

If it could get us into the playoffs id do it. But like you said why the hell would he want to come here right now and wed get crap for him in return after this year because there's no way we could keep him and teams would know it.

I picked him up... glad I dropped him two starts ago
