Hammer with 2 Grand Slams So Far Tonight!

Featured Replies

As the Nationals continue there onslaught against the Brewers I checked the Box Score and saw that former Marlin Great Josh Willingham has hit 2 Count it 2 Grand Slams with the game currently in the 7th inning.

I looked it up and in MLB History only 12 Players have hit 2 Grand Slams in the same game some notable names include Tony Lazzeri Frank Robinson, Nomar Garciapara, Robin Ventura, Bill Mueller and Fernando Tatis.

This is Great for Hammer especially since he had to fight for a starting jobs in the beginning of the season and now he has been starting regularly and is batting .300 with 16 HR's, 39 RBI's and an OPS of 1.011.(Inluding tonights 3 Hit Night).

Still doesn't compare to Fernando Tatis' two grand slams in the same inning. Tell him to try that!

Chan Ho Park is still having nightmares about that game.

Sure be nice to have him. Still doesn't look right to me seeing him in the nats uni. Glad to see him doing well though.

16 HR and only 39 RBI

Tho it is a better ratio than earlier in the season when Hammer had 9 HR and just 12 RBI lol

I think that says more about the rest of the Nats line-up than it does Hammer.
