awww. I was just about to make this.

But Sean West has been one of the most consistent SP's this month. Something that I can't say about any other pitcher.

I really wanted to see this game but had a game of my own in which I fouled a ball off my inner shin. I grew up playing with and against latos. Never really liked him and glad to see we beat him. I heard West did pretty good.

At least we weren't swept by the Padres...

If we don't go out all guns blazing in the Atlanta series and take 3 or 4 then I feel the playoff quest will have all but ended in early September.

yes then I just remember what our starting rotation is :(:o:|:(

An Ace In J.J., a guy who can be an ace in Nolasco, a promising young starter in West, a roller coaster in Anibal and an unknown amount of 5th starters who can get it done one game and blow up the next.

We need to stop worrying about if this pitcher can pitch well one night or everything else and just play baseball and hopefully get on a hot streak in September.

We can definitely do this but we need to get it done, whatever it takes.

j.j seems to be tiring, nolasco has been inconsistent a bit, west is extremely inconsistent, anibal is an injury waiting to happen and is inconsistent, and we dont have a 5th starter. if we get a pitcher before tuesday, then maybe, but as of now, we are just high after a good pitching performance

Peter Gammons mentioned that it might be either us or the Giants that will get Penny.....

Yeah, we need consistent pitchers like Clay Hensley and Christhian Martinez...

didnt say that, although clay hensley definitely dserves a shot

good game but really wish we wouldve taken advantage of more than just one game from the rockies.

the starters really need to turn it on and i cant wait to get nick back.

im also looking forward to putting maybin in center and cody in right.

You called Clay Hensley a consistent 5th starter who should be given a shot to be the veteran of the rotation next year, buddy. In case you forgot, that's all over last night's gamethread.

Despite the disappointing 3-3 record, my prediction about the Rockies/gaining 2-3 games this week (said it last Sunday, I believe) came true. Still though, the team needs to start playing better. The SP is just...well, we already know.

i said that hensley deserves a shot, as the rest of the rotation isnt doing sh*t. he has shown that he can be a good pitcher in this league a couple years ago, and 2 straight solid seasons in the pcl after surgery and he deserves a shot, especially with our horrible rotation
