November 16, 200916 yr That was a basketball version of a college football game. It happens so often in college football that an elite team gets complacent against an inferior team, falls behind, has no business winning the game, but somehow pulls it out.
November 18, 200916 yr way to not show up tonight against the zombie sonics. thats exactly the game they need with atlanta on deck. jeebus
November 18, 200916 yr I blame saint Wade. I don't think he's driving to the basket as much as he can. The other assholes need to learn to shoot too, though.
November 18, 200916 yr That was a terrible performance. Until the 4th quarter the shooting from beyond the paint was disgraceful. Give OKC credit, too. They are a very good young team. They are the kind of team that will give the Heat problems all year. Unfortunetly, the Hawks are kind of the same kind of team...hopefully the Heat can pull out a win tonight. Cook got it going in the 4th so maybe that will carry over. I'm a Beasley fan, but he's been almost invisible most of the year (except for the Cavs game). They must have more from him.
November 23, 200916 yr Nice win last night. The Hornets came in on a three game win streak and they played well. The Heat's defense was pretty terrible most of the night, but nice to see some offense for the first time since that Cavs game. Haslem had the biggest shots of the night and Beasley was agressive (17 and 9). Wade looks back on track. Tough game in Orlando Wed before home games against Washington and Boston.
November 23, 200916 yr Chalmers shutting up the idiots who wanted Allen Iverson (lol, can't believe we actually wanted that buffoon). I honestly think Chalmers needs to become a little more assertive in the offense. He could easily have so much better numbers than he has. Beasley, nice game, gotta admit that much. Haslem, the captain, saves the day. JO been a little quiet before todays game. It's funny that we are basically a prayer 3 pointer by Wade and a bank shot by Udonis from being on a 6 game losing streak.
November 26, 200916 yr Michael, I know we've had our ups and downs, but right now I have a mad man crush on you for that incredible heads up play! The Beas Knees baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reminded me of this play immediately after it happened http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH1Jt2XATgE&feature=fvw
November 26, 200916 yr I wanted to dropkick J-Will for deciding to have his ONE good game of the year against his former team. Thankfully he also decided to choke on his last trip to the line. And no matter how good his teams are, Vince Carter remains Miami's bitch.
November 26, 200916 yr And after scoring only 8 pts thru 3 qts and shooting 3/14FG, D.Wade took over the game in the 4th qt to lead the Heat on that 16-0 run!
November 26, 200916 yr And the final scoring play of the game with Haslem dunking it (or even Vince Carter's 3) doesnt make the top 10 on SportsCenter. Yes, but of course the 3 pointer and-1 makes it... really stupid. I dont know who sits at ESPN and concludes this garbage.

November 26, 200916 yr Author Lucky we got the win last night, Beasley looked like he was goaltending.
November 26, 200916 yr We sneaked that one out lol but i'll take it, this is Orlando, probably the second best team in the East. GO HEAT!
November 28, 200916 yr Heat lose to the Wizards 94-84. Only 18 points from Wade. Somethings just not right with him the last few couple games. I got a bad feeling he has an injury that he and/or the team isn't telling anyone about. 0 points in 27 minutes for Haslem. Only 7 points from the bench, all coming from Cook. Chalmers led the Heat with 20 points.

Chalmers led the Heat with 20 points. He's not injured, he just doesn't wanna get injured. He's set to make quite a bit of change in the offseason and he's obviously trying to take care of himself more than usual. That's why we're not seeing him drive to the basket as much as before and instead we keep seeing him taking (and missing) a lot more 3 pointers. I thought we'd be seeing this before the season started, and of course, here it is.

The less he drives to the basket...it doesn't help his value.

The less he drives to the basket...it doesn't help his value. No, it makes perfect sense. He's trying not to be injured plus he isnt in as great of shape as he was last year because of all the workouts he did last year. He needs to start being more aggressive from the start of the game more often and not always defer till the end of the half. The heat also need iverson more then any team out there. Put him in on that 2nd unit and that is so much better then the joel anthony's and dorrell wrights we have out there right now. we definitely have a need for scoring on the 2nd unit.

You just stated why he won't be with the Miami Heat. Plain and simple, no team needs Allen Iverson, at this point in his career he is nothing more than a cancer to a team. I said this when Iverson was a free agent this offseason, Heat shouldn't even consider it. And yes, Wade is playing cautious this year, but I'm not worried. He'll be at the top of his game when needed. Just because he's playing not to get injured right now doesn't mean he'll be like that come the playoffs when we play the Hawks again. And Joel Anthony has played like one of the best defensive 6th men in the league, don't know what the hell you're talking about there. I think every team would be grateful to have a Joel Anthony come off the bench for them.

The less he drives to the basket...it doesn't help his value. That's usually with players that have something to prove. Wade ain't got sh*t to prove. Maybe his plan is to take it easy early on and then be more agressive as the season progresses. I don't think he's injured and that would be the only other reason why he's pretending to be Reggie Miller and taking so many 3 pointers instead of driving it in.

ITs been said that he is just not in as good of shape as he was last year because he was doing those incredible workouts and the olympics. Hes still in good shape but just not as good as last year. also last year he spoiled us, but this year he really is shotting wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many 3's and needs to be more aggressive and kick it out for others to shoot em
November 29, 200916 yr h2r09, did you have a bad childhood, or do you just feel it is necessary to curse at everybody you talk to? And I responded to what you wrote, don't twist things around and change what you said.
November 29, 200916 yr Wade taking every 3 he can added to the 0 points UD scored, 2 of 9 shooting by James Jones, 7 combined bench points and the terrible defensive play and rebounding from Beasley make an embarrassing lose on National Television. The positives are JO and SUPER MARIO'S great play which we need more of especially from Chambers. All in all I feel that we still need that missing piece in a another scorer who can put up at least 15 points a game.(And thats not a streaky Quienten Richardson, but he is good help as a role player or an Old Allen Iverson who doesn't fit on the team). Also, Beasley needs to learn how to stay consistent with his scoring because he will score 17 in the 1st half and score once in the 2nd or vise versa. Also he needs to learn that when he has no room to work with to pass the ball and reset himself rather then trying to create space himself and g a terrible shot with a sh*tty drive. All in all they need to play tougher with more a more agressive style both ways if they want to be a top 5 team in the East
December 5, 200916 yr The Heat should've won by at least 10 but they lost by 1 because they missed about 20 FT's. WHYTF DON'T COACHES GIVE A sh*t ABOUT THEIR PLAYER'S FT SHOOTING!!!!!!! The Heat is lucky I'm not their coach. I'd lock them in the arena, cut to power to the whole place except the floor lights and maybe the A/C, and make the whole team practice FT"s until they each make 10 in a row. I don't care how long it takes. 12 hours 24 hours whatever. Don't worry, I'd have plenty of Gatorade on hand (but no food). :censored :censored :cussing :cussing
