April 5, 201016 yr I plan on starting the Daily Farm Reports when Greensboro, Jupiter, Jacksonville, and New Orleans begin their seasons on Thursday. This post was just to announce that and if anyone doesn't like the idea, just let me know. I had a good time doing it last year and people were friendly enough to help me out when I couldn't get them done. I'm pretty sure people enjoyed reading it as well. I look forward to reading the monthly minor league reports as that is not the purpose of the DFR, so I feel this idea is necessary. Similar to last year, I will create a new thread each week. Also, I will post the stats for anyone you want basically, so just let me know what additional players you would like me to include. Here's to a fun and progressive 2010!
April 5, 201016 yr I love these, helps me keep up to date on our rising stars, this year being guys like Miller, West, Stanton, Dominguez, Morrison, etc...
April 7, 201016 yr Awesome, even when things are crappy up top there is usually some form of optimism somewhere to be had in the minors.
April 7, 201016 yr Looks like players have been assigned to their teams for the year, players of note and where they at New Orleans- Logan Morrison, Scott Cousins, Bryan Petersen, Ryan Tucker, Rick VandenHurk, Andrew Miller, Taylor Tankersley, Brett Sinkbeil, Hunter Jones, Chris Leroux and Scott Strickland, on the DL in AAA are Sean West, Dallas Trahern and Nic Ungs. Jacksonville-Jeffery Allison, Todd Doolittle, Elih Villanueva, Matt Dominguez and Mike Stanton Jupiter-Brad Hand, Johnny Dorn, Jhan Marinez, Jake Smolinski and Isaac Galloway Greensboro-Chad James, Edgar Olmos, Kyle Skipworth, Jose Torres, Thomas Hickman, Austin Markel and Marcell Ozuna, also with the Grasshoppers I can only guess waiting for a spot elsewhere are A J Battisto and Alejandro Sanabia. I'm sure there are other players of note, but I'm just going by taking a quick glance.
April 9, 201016 yr How's this for a season debut Michael Stanton- 3-4, BB, HR, triple shy of the cycle. Just another day at the park for Michael Giancarlo Cruz Stanton, or, as I shall nickname him, "The Punisher".
April 9, 201016 yr Author Hey all, sorry it's so late, but I picked up a late night shift tonight...need the money. I basically posted names I could remember from last year and those who performed well today. Like always, please feel free to tell me some names I should add to the 'list'. Stanton goes yard....BOOM! Should be fun seeing what he does in Jacksonville in '10. Oh and if I made any errors, please let me know. Sorry if there are, but it's late. Anyway, I'm bringing UFC's Mike Goldberg to this thread...AND HERE WE GO!
