It'd be nice if the Marlins get desperate and lunge for Dunn, say F defense, and put this lineup out...

1. Hanley SS

2. Gaby 3B

3. Uggla 2B

4. Dunn LF

5. Ross CF

6. Stanton RF

7. Morrison 1B

8. Paulino C

9. Pitcher

if they did that i think they wouldn't keep cody. it would be maybin in center. so many strikeouts. holy jesus

I think this was the breaking point for every fan.

For me, yes. BUt I love this team so I still be here and root for them, better or worse.

If they got Pitt or O's bad, I'll cry myself to sleep every night. I'm not even joking.

Oh, me too of course. I meant the breaking point as in realizing the season is over.

We've played so horribly in the past two games that I'm almost thrilled I'll be missing tomorrow's game due to a freaking test.

Crappy fielding, lack of clutch hitting, and subpar starts by our pitchers.

You and me both, I actually watched tonight's monstrosity instead of studying for genetics. bleh :knockout

:lol I watched today's game instead of studying as well. What a waste that was! They couldn't even win to make my procrastination worth it!

Maybe the worst part about being in tonight's game, apart from getting wet, were the Phillies fans.

Ugh you could hear them on the television obnoxiously rooting.

Went, lost. But moved up and my friend nearly got a foul ball. Phillies fans and rain suck.

This is crazy, a collective whimper from all marlins fans....this is what really did it. the hole gets deeper and we continue to fail at home. While a lot of us seem to agree that we should sell high on Ross and get some prospects, apparently the team feels Maybin isnt ready for next year. The reports say they are talking about Ross being the starting CF next year, i mean think about it. Maybin, Morrison, Stanton in the outfield? Three rookies? But the underachieving Ross and H2R have really bothered me this year....all of the sudden again we cant pitch, hit, or play D. It seems like every time i give up on this team, they reel you back it....every series....but this one was really that proverbial (and very cliche and cheesey) nail in the coffin....

Well, I never lose hope. But at the very least, I want to see some glimmer of hope for our future. And so far, I'm seeing that.

I'm crazy, here is my facebook status and comment...

It's raining, running a scan on PC, somewhat tired, I'll sleep when the MARLINS WIN. Which will be tonight, you going down Roy Oswalt and Phillies. Cry to your mommies.

Followed by this...

Seriously, forfiet the game, you aren't sweeping the Marlins. Not in their house.

Just go on a roll starting now. PLay to keep Edwin at least you overpaid players you.

????

Gaby can't play 3B. Dunn thinks defense is dething behind dehouse.

It's aggrivating...if you want to pay someone to go up there and strike out or fly out, I'll take half of what any of those guys are making! These guys just roll over. They score a little and then that's it. They never add on. The defense is embarrassing and I don't really understand what's going on there. The Marlins have done a 180, this is not the same team that almost swept the Padres. Unfortunately the rain may have had some factor with Anibal. He just didn't look good out there tonight and that started the whole thing, but yet he didn't give up much so we had a good chance to come back. Too bad it just didn't get rained out..

Marlins may be outta gas.

7-3 homestand to begind all star break

4-3 on road

0-2 so far on 6 game home stand.

True, and I think the realization that this season is over is going to also affect them. Let's at least be spoilers though..nothing else we can do!

It seem like we are so easy to settle for a spoiler role, i read that about the last two years or more, what about winning the division or wild card, to hell with spoiler.

Hate to say it, but the last 3 games which we have lost have ended all hopes I had of making the playoffs. I still have never seen a Marlins playoff game in the 5 years I've followed the team and the sport

they really showed how to lose two games the last two nights.

if they dont salvage tonight and for once WIN MORE THAN 3 f***ING GAMES in a row.

maybe we can get back in it. but the last two games were nothing short of pathetic.

Still got a shot to get in the Playoffs but we need to winout the rest of the Homstand.

The Atlanta series is HUGE! We really need to sweep them to better our own chances.

I find it weird how we beat good teams like Atlanta, San Fransisco, and San Diego but we seem to struggle against a seemingly beat up Phillies team without Howard, Utley, Victorino and Moyer.

Oh don't get me wrong, I would much rather win the division or wild card than be a spoiler. No question there. But the fact is, if there's no hope in that, then what else can we look forward to? At least we can play the spoiler, it gives us some reason to continue watching what the most time is a debacle of games. So no, I'd rather not be the spoiler but rather be a winner...but when that option is gone, there's only one option left. Unless we rather just watch our rivals win and succeed while we sit in a corner and dream of next year?
