HitDaCycle
If only we play as good against other teams as we do with the Nationals heh. Good game, that was fun and not much drama. One of the best moments tonight: throwing out Nyjer Morgan when stealing second! That was great since it seemed like he did it in spite. Sanabia pitched pretty good after the first inning and my vote goes to Clay. First off, cool that he got his first save! But he got out of a tight situation that Leo put us in. The Nationals could've tied the game or got ahead in that inning, but Clay got us out of that inning in one pitch.
Fishes on the Pond
I forgot about Davis' 2nd HR. A lot of good happenings this game. Except we had to look at NYJER :banghead I voted for Sanabia because he went past his 6th inning, had his first hit, and got out of the bad 1st inning. BUT I could have easily voted for Hensley. I really would like to see him as a starter like he came out of ST. I wonder where he would be the most valuable for next years. Hanley still has problems this year. He made a face once while batting so I wonder if he had something strained. Wish he had a glimmer of what he showed last year. GREAT GAME, MARLINS!!! alejandrasnow
I already liked Sanabia and his Cali kid persona but now I'm falling in love with him. Mikey, Logan, Gaby, and Sanabia!? I'm loving these rookies.

Fishes on the Pond
Tomorrow's game isn't telecast! :tissue I hate radio-only games I don't understand why they would not telecast a September game. I hate it in the spring when it happens, but to me there is no excuse for one in September to not be on tv. What would we feel like IF we were really in the postseason hit and we couldn't watch the game.

Don't they have to have film in case of an appeal??

Or maybe they would..don't know. I don't get why it's late in the season either. I hope we don't miss Uggla's 30th..although I'm rooting for him to hit it, I'd like to see it

But yeah, they do have cameras so we will still be able to see clips if it does happen

Shaft
Nyjer Morgan is so pathetic. Seemed clear to me he was trying to steal out of spite, considering it was 2 outs with the pitcher at the plate.
canada-marlin24
solid win. ill tell you what. i have been quite impressed with the bat of Brad Davis. He better keep it up. keep leo for next year but not as a closer. he was great as a setup guy.

Sirspud
Leo would theoretically be a good setup man, but ex-closers have a tendency to throw a hissy fit and not pitch their best for the team that yanked them out of the closer role. There aren't a lot of guys who have spent a significant amount of time at closer with a team who have stuck with them for long after they were pulled from that role. It's just awkward. They can more easily accept a lesser role when sent to a new team because that team will usually have somebody who has proven themselves as a closer. With their old teams, its akin to being demoted for a nobody because obviously the guy who is replacing you hasn't done any closing with that team. I'm inclined to think that no closing = no Leo next year.
