September 24, 201016 yr Marlins announce date of 2011 FanFest By Jordan Schelling and Joe Frisaro / MLB.com | 09/23/10 8:34 PM ET MIAMI -- Time is running out on the 2010 season, but the Marlins already are preparing for 2011. The organization announced on Thursday the date of its annual FanFest, which is the first day individual game tickets go on sale. Admission is free. The 16th annual Jiffy Lube Marlins FanFest is set for Feb. 19, 2011, at Sun Life Stadium. It will mark the final FanFest at the ballpark, as the Marlins will be moving into their new retractable-roof stadium in 2012. Season tickets for the new ballpark already are being sold. FanFest will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET, and it provides the public with the opportunity to get up close to the players, coaches and front office. The day will include autograph sessions, interactive games, appearances from Billy The Marlin, the Mermaids, Manatees, Maniacs, DJ Petey, DJ Vertigo and Marlins Vision host Johanna Gomez. As it has done in years past, the club will have town-hall style meetings with players and team executives. Recently, the Marlins' 2011 schedule was released. And Feb. 29 will be the first chance to purchase tickets for Opening Day, which will be against the Mets on April 1. Season tickets for 2011 are on sale at www.marlins.com. Marlins.com

February 14, 201115 yr This'll be the first year that I don't go to a Marlins game since 2002 :'( [became a fan of Baseball in general in February 2003 and since the Marlins were closest I went for them. ...That's logical, right?] Unless I go to a game during the Rays home series up here, which would be a near-2 hour drive... Oh yeah, not going to FanFest this year either. Gotta stay on topic.
February 15, 201115 yr heading up to Jupiter on friday to catch a Fish / Cards practice, and going to Fanfest on Saturday... heading to Orlando Sunday & Monday for Disney with the fam and catching Braves practice both mornings.... thank god it's finally Spring Training!!!

He said he would FedEx them to us if we didn't get them the regular way, or we could pick them up at the stadium. Prob with picking them up there is that you have to pay the parking fee. I say FedEx em. Let them pay for their mistake, not me. Besides, maybe they come in the mail after the FedEx package, then I have a pair to give to someone. Like Benched. LOL
