Don't worry, it's only the first game of the season. We'll get those kinks worked out and be back to the heart attack pen and non supportive offense that us fans have grown to love. Entendu
SHOULD WE BE WORRIED? We should have scored more runs We shouldn't have allowed so many runs The game could've been finished sooner Our bullpen got really lucky Our offense came from one person Our young potential phenom is injured Chris Coghlan didn't get a hit Hanley almost struck out like twice We grounded into a few double plays John Buck couldn't keep baserunners in check Matt Dominguez is injured and will be gone forever We have no third baseman Chris Coghlan almost killed LoMo in a collision Of course we should be f***ing worried. What kind of a question is that?
Dr Beinfest
SHOULD WE BE WORRIED? Yes, mama Rodriguez made some heaping refried beans. Edwin will not sleep well tonight.

For a guy that was advertised as being "aggressive", I haven't seen it yet. Keep winning, no problem. Lose a couple close ones, people will start complaining. bobbob1313
No fan base has ever loved a 3rd base coach for his coaching. Every fan base thinks every 3rd base coach sucks. Every fan thinks every 3rd base coach is an idiot who keeps them from winning the World Series. I'd rather have a guy who is a little conservative over a guy who is running you out of innings. You only get 27 outs; batting successfully is hard enough. Making outs on the base paths should be damn near unacceptable.

Admin
Espada is still the third base coach, right? I think he does a fine job. Last year when the coaching staff was shaken up due to the Fredi Gonzalez hiring, many of us were praising Espada and hoping that he stayed. Espada didn't really make a mistake last night. Unless you're saying that Infante's hesitation when he was thrown out at home was Espada's fault... BroncoBob27
I've never once heard anyone commend a 3rd base coach for doing a good job Very true. But I'm not saying I like him or not. Just commenting on the comments they made when he was placed there. And the fact that most here have been calling our 3B coaches windminlls. Now they get something totally different, and they will complain when push comes to shove. But personally I don't mind testing an OFers arm and accuracy under pressure. Why would I blame a contact play mad from the dugout on the 3B coach? And again, I'm not blaming anything on anybody, nor am I saying he made a mistake. Just commenting on the comments they made. "He is an aggressive 3B coach that will test arms." Kind of a paraphrase, but that was the message. Very small sample size. Just a handful of ST games and 2 plays last night. One I thought for sure he was going to send the runner. 3B coach has his hands up while the runner is coming down the line and the runner is slowing down long before he is getting to the bag. Waving him on and the runner is digging around the bag. Stop sign is a safe play, not an aggressive one.
Admin
Are you that out of it that you don't realize that Espada was the third base coach last season too? Because you aren't making any sense.
