BUENTE!

Featured Replies

Buente (1-0) allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out four in running his consecutive scoreless inning streak to 14, dating to the fifth inning iof his April 23 start at Albuquerque. Buente lowered his ERA to a Pacific Coast League-leading 1.35.

KID IS ON FIRE RIGHT NOW!

He's really been extremely impressive. ~.7 WHIP as a starter. 32 K in 33 IP, just 6 walks. Batter are .163 against him for the year, and .162 as a starter.

Did he add a pitch? Why did they convert him to starter? I'd really like a story about this, but I can't find anything.

They shouldn't mess with him and have him start the entire year. No call ups, no extra pressure. See if it works out. He's not making or breaking the 2011 season.

This guy was unhittable in AAA and only lasts 3 innings in todays start. Is there really that much difference between AAA and the bigs?
