Posted December 13, 201113 yr JoeFrisaro Joe Frisaro #Marlins tender contracts to Anibal Sanchez, Emilio Bonifacio, Chris Volstad, Edward Mujica and JC Oviedo
December 13, 201113 yr Expected all of those but if the organization thinks adding buerhle and keeping guys like volstad solves the rotation problems then we are in trouble.
December 13, 201113 yr Well they said they would and did. JC Oviedo..... I'm kind of expecting this to blow up in their faces when no one wants to take him in a trade for that salary...
December 13, 201113 yr speaking of tendered contracts....ronny paulino was non-tendered. would love to have him back on the team.

December 13, 201113 yr At least we're not the Mets. The Mets rotation is Johan Santana, Jon Niese, R.A. Dickey, Mike Pelfrey and Dillon Gee and a report surfaced today that Santana is not expected to be right for Opening Day.
December 14, 201113 yr Volstad? barf Nolasco last year ERA 4.67 to get 9MM this year? barf I'm just going to start replying to blind Nolasco hate posts with one simple number: .331. That led all of baseball. Second was Edwin Jackson.

December 14, 201113 yr Not really sure what they're doing with Nunez/Oviedo contract. 6 million for a mediocre setup guy with legal issues? Trying to trade him at some point? Will he have any value with all the issues? Perplexing move to say the least.

"All the issues" should be settled unless the USA and/or MLB have something to say. There are still alot of closers on the loose, so not so sure he would be in demand in a trade. Gotta wonder where they are going with this one. Maybe they have something in the works that we don't know about??
