Marlins
Ouch...Was carted off the field after injuring his right knee while shagging fly balls during BP. Diagnosed with a "twisted right knee"--getting an MRI. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=21128441&c_id=nyy

Erick
It's true. It would suck to see his career end like this.
MarlinKidd101
That makes the Heat's path to the finals easier. Wait...wrong sport.

Admin
Terrible, I hope he comes back next year. Don't want to see his career end like that.
Erick
I picked up David Robertson in all fantasy leagues. He'll probably go from dominant reliever to leading the league in blown saves now. It's what the Lomosexuals do.
Marlins
Likely done for the season... Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced following Thursday's game that Mariano Rivera was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee. Absolutely crushing news. Rivera is scheduled to head back to New York to meet with Yankees' doctors, but his season is almost certainly over and there's at least a chance that he has thrown his final pitch. It's terrible news for the Yankees, as there will never be another closer like Rivera, but David Robertson and Rafael Soriano are capable replacements. We would give the edge to Robertson, but both should be stashed away in most fantasy leagues.
AeroFishOne
Someone needs to do a gif of arods reaction. Hate it for mo
Marlins
Feel so bad for Mo... David Waldstein @DavidWaldstein fighting back tears, Mariano Rivera said he didn't know if he would ever pitch again.
PurpleHaze
It does suck to see him go out like this. It's over, though. He's done.
Dr Beinfest
Wow, f*** me. Lost Ryan Madson and Mariano Rivera. Two high draft picks.

AeroFishOne
I have no real ties to Mo except him Playing in Greensboro back in the day. I appreciate the way he plays and is one of the few yankees I can support. I'm am no means a sentimental or emotional guy, but just watching Mo speak on it was emotional. I hate it for the guy. fanofthefish
With surgery and rehab he could possibly make it back towards the end of September, thats if Everything goes right. Hate the Stankees, but hate to see this happen to Mo!
Mets_bs
I know I laughed - not necessarily because Mo got hurt, but reading NYYFans.com. I'm going to be listening to WFAN all day today. For the record that's: Pineda - year over Joba - year, possibly more over Mo - year, possibly career over
MiamiNative0722
Such a sad day, going into the season the Yanks were pretty stacked, but now after losing Pineda and Mo.. its tough to say they have a chance at the pennant
Hotcorner
ouch, brutal... hope he comes back next year
EricWiener
I have to expect that at his age this is career ending. I am waiting for all the teeth gnashing about how he could be "allowed" to shag fly balls. Which I bet he has done his whole career.
AeroFishOne
He pretty much has. It was part of his routine.
