Bautista has played 99 out of 495 games at third base over the last four seasons. It is really silly to call him a third baseman.

So in order to be consistent, Piazza should be comparing Hanley's 2012 offensive numbers to other shortstops since Hanley qualifies as one in fantasy baseball.

My point is that it's fair to criticize Hanley's production, but why does it always resort to comments about him being lazy, etc? Maybe he's just struggling like all players struggle. Maybe he's simply regressed.

Hanley is a dumb bitch; in any color you paint him. His arrogance is preventing him from being a professional. He doesn't work hard enough at his craft and it's starting to show that he can't adapt to pitchers in this league. He needs to develop a better eye at the plate and be content with walks.

 

Until then, Hanley could roll out of bed and not get a hit.
