Mr. Man
Well that was kind of boring.
canada-marlin24
That is about as annoying as it gets. I just wish solano would have taken ball 4 then we could pinch hit buck for power. Really want to take this damn series going into the break. And I never want to f***ing see Kyle lohse again. And of course we lose 1 game and the nationals and mets take a game. babaru
Hanley's swing seems to change from game to game, he seems completely lost.

NOTtheILMarlins
Hanley's swing seems to change from game to game, he seems completely lost. His intelligence is what I am curious about. He's been in the game long enough to know to make changes but he doesn't. He's not going to be around much longer if he keeps this up for any more number of years. NOTtheILMarlins
I think we need one more person to start a 77 game thread.

What really got me scratching my head was Tommy's comment a few games ago now( don't remember which one) about Hanley using other players bat's. If that doesn't tell you he is lost at the plate I don't know what will.
pollythewog
Hanley needs to be moved to 5th or later in the lineup. He is absolutely awful
pollythewog
IMO Hanley is done. He'll never be "Hanley" again and were stuck with a below average offensively and defensively third baseman
Miami_Marlins_fan
Hanley is a bum. I never liked him since that lazy play a few years ago when he kicked the ball with his foot and cost us a game, then complained like a stuck up little princess when he was suspended for being so lazy. He has a few flashes of brilliance, but most of what we get out of him is pure junk.
Giancarlo Stanton
I wish Hanley was a good player i would be so nice.
Erick
If Solano would've reached base, I wonder if Ozzie would've been dumb enough to let Hayes hit instead of Infante. Honestly, it's stupid to not have Infante pinch-hit there in the 9th inning for Solano. What was he waiting for?
Michael
Then you pinch hit Buck for Hayes, and if we end up going extras, we have no bench. I don't know.

That's why the Marlins should try to move him ASAP. This guy is not going to get better - he is what he is and has been for 3 years - OVERRATED ! yokofox33
And what would we get for Hanley honestly? Trading him doesn't make us better. If he sucks, we're not going to get good value in a trade. And this is not a defense of his play. He's stunk compared to his prime years. I just don't think we're going to get 2-3 magical players that make us better. And Solano is not the answer... I think the less is more comes into play with Hanley. It would 1st allow the FO to move on, and not keep waiting to make some moves because they sit back and wait to see Hanley start doing something. Sometimes you have to just "move on" and say, he just didn't work out for us. And if we don't get value for him, so what we didn't get value for Cabrera did we ? OOPS.....shouldn't bring that up again :jacobs :lol

Actually you can get good value for Hanley, because a lot of teams are going to look at him as under performing and worth the risk.

Well maybe you could get a stupid FO to pay a lot for him, but its been 3 years of underperformance. That seems more like trend than abberation. The guy missed a lot of time last year as well. You know Boston has some sort of love affair with the guy and would probably love to trade for him.
