Maybe that was the sh*tty kind of luck that Cogs needed . Maybe next game will be his breakout.

Don't let that pessimist piss in your Cheerios

Even when Coghlan does something good, he sucks. That was a lucky hit.

But I'm still happy for him.

I'm not a pessimist. I'm someone who understands math and statistics.

I don't know. I just got passed over for my last promotion and I can't think clearly right now.

I actually thought that the Marlins would finish ahead of the Braves when I woke up this morning!

These answers sound familiar.

Sucks Fernandez didn't get the win (at least he was happy the team did though). Think I'll have to catch him a few times this year.

Seriously, though, Coghlan did probably the worst thing he could have done in that situation other than strike out or pop out.

I'm glad the Marlins salvaged a win out of Fernandez's great start, but let's be real.

If Utley was playing back, that's a double play.

Marlins got lucky, but when you're 1-9, you'll take whatever you can.

This was a very impressive home debut by the phenom considering the fact he faced mostly lefties. This season, his opponent batting average is 5th in the majors, opponent OPS is 2nd in the majors, and he, Masterson, and Harvey are the only pitchers TOP 10 in both ERA and WHIP.

If Utley was playing back, that's a double play.

Even if Utley is playing in that's probably a double play. At the very least the runner is out at home if it's fielded cleanly.

probably. might be close at 1st but yeah the winning run I don't think would score.

5 total hits, Dobbs & Kearns blow a chance in the 6th, Solano airmailing a throw to blow the lead (actually 2 routine double-plays screwed tonight), and needing your pitcher to drive in the lead run, sure doesn't feel like progress... I know they're relieved to get a win, they'll take it but not sure we saw anything different tonight.

Fernandez is great to see though.

I agree. It was a bad play. His chances are running out.
