Does anyone think the ball in the bottom of the 8th should've been caught by Yelich?

Think the team was spooked by the Wrigley shadows..... Stanton and Yelich in particular with an assortment of truly awful at bats.

Team just didn't play well, yet still was in position to steal the game. Can't get too upset.

If Arizona, San Diego, Toronto and Colorado all win, who cares

For me, too early to look at the standings. I just dont like it that we lost to the freaking cubs, I bet my family who are almost all cub fans are laughing at me now.

That's cool, remind them of the 100 years of futility.

Arizona won't win tonight. They're going against Teheran, and they have McCarthy going. Atlanta has to be at least a 90% win probability there.

McCarthy is actually great, he's just been incredibly unlucky. Your point stands though, because the rest of the Diamondbacks are terri-bad.

If Eovaldi can continue to develop his curve and changeup, and continue to increase his command, he will be special. His fastball/slider combo is already pretty good, and his curve looks really good at times as well.

Also, yeah, Yelich needs a rest...and when he gets back...He needs to not be leading off anymore. I honestly don't care who leads off, I'd just rather drop him to second for the time being.

I disagree. While Yelich has lost his way a little, he's still getting on base better than anyone else capable of leading off, and also has the most speed and best base running ability of anyone capable of leading off. And I bellieve, even with the struggles, his K rate has slightly decreased as the year has gone on. I would let him work through it.

However, now that Dietrich is in NO for some reason, I am sure when Furcal comes up you'll get your wish.

I think if he is hitting second, there is a better chance of someone still being on base when Stanton bats.

So it wasn't a complete knock on him.

That's actually a fair point.
