April 15, 201511 yr What do you all think of Capps' delivery? I feel like this guy's going to break his ankle doing that weird hop before every pitch. April 15, 201511 yr in that video i saw salty do absolutely nothing wrong! wtf! but yeah capps has a weird delivery, but i feel he is solid and have more confidence in him than ramos.

Pitchers are taught to "push off" the rubber to give themselves a bit more power coming towards the plate, I guess Capps (and Jordan Walden) just took it a bit further and decided to "launch" rather than merely "push off"

April 17, 201511 yr Gammons just tweeted that MLB declared that Capps delivery is an illegal pitch. That he would have to drag the back foot/toe like Walden does in order for it to be legal.

April 17, 201511 yr My question would be... is this delivery really that different from what he did in 2013 with Seattle and last year with us? Because if it isn't I'd be kinda upset that this was called illegal now and not in all his other major league appearances. Also this has to explain why he was sent down.
