July 11, 201511 yr He's going to become the full time starter at second base until Dee comes back, isn't he?
July 11, 201511 yr Can Solano go to the All-Star Game in Dee's place? He's honestly the best player in Marlins history, so it's a travesty that he isn't starting at 2B, 3B, and SS just out of reverence.
July 11, 201511 yr He's going to become the full time starter at second base until Dee comes back, isn't he? Yep. They love them some Solano.
July 12, 201511 yr Surprised they didn't just reinstate Prado. Anyways I actually predict McGehee plays third and Prado plays second until Dee is back. Solano won't be the full time starter.

July 12, 201511 yr Author And why is that the plan when Derek Dietrich is still on the team? In what universe is starting Casey McGehee over Dietrich(or anyone, really) a smart decision?
July 12, 201511 yr And why is that the plan when Derek Dietrich is still on the team? In what universe is starting Casey McGehee over Dietrich(or anyone, really) a smart decision? The answer is because McGehee, with his hits yesterday and today, is considered a hot bat that they'll wanna keep in the lineup. Of course Dietrich is the smarter option but it's funny how some of you still don't know how this team makes its decisions.

Then their logic is not even internally consistent considering Dietrich is 5 for his last 10.
July 12, 201511 yr Good point. Can't argue that one. I guess Casey is a leader, grinder, grit, clubhouse culture, grinder, workhorse, professional, grinder, professional grinder, reigning comeback player of the year, and also a grinder.
July 12, 201511 yr Author And all of that means absolutely nothing. At some point, the Marlins need to join the 21st century.
July 12, 201511 yr And all of that means absolutely nothing. At some point, the Marlins need to join the 21st century. I think we all understand that.
July 12, 201511 yr Good point. Can't argue that one. I guess Casey is a leader, grinder, grit, clubhouse culture, grinder, workhorse, professional, grinder, professional grinder, reigning comeback player of the year, and also a grinder. FUCK YES
July 12, 201511 yr You all secretly wanted Solano back, admit it. You all secretly wanted Solano back, admit it. fuck.
July 12, 201511 yr Author Just hoping the Marlins do the right thing when Prado is ready and go with Prado at 2B and Dietrich at 3B.
