August 7, 201511 yr Urena knee contusion and Rienzo knew laceration. Barraclough 9K in 4 innings at Jacksonville.
August 7, 201511 yr Woah, pretty quick on the Cishek return. Well, lets see what he's got as player evaluation is really all this season is good for at this point.
August 7, 201511 yr So, like...this pretty much confirms Wittgren is blacklisted for some reason or another, right?
August 7, 201511 yr Only thing I can figure on Wittgren is that he's been a little bit too hittable in July/August. Maybe they want him working on something in AAA. I'm sure he'll be up in September, if not sooner. I'm looking forward to seeing Barraclough though. I like the young power arms we could potentially have in the back of the pen with him, Ellington, Capps, Wittgren, and Ramos. Hopefully, they put Flores and Conley into the rotation.
August 8, 201511 yr Barraclough comes with a distinctive name — pronounced Bearclaw we are going to be a formidable team with bearclaw and boar
August 8, 201511 yr Barraclough comes with a distinctive name — pronounced Bearclaw Huh? Barraclough is a traditonal English name, and is usually pronounced 'Barrow-cluff'. It means a wood ('barrow') that's close to a ravine ('clough').
August 8, 201511 yr Get a load of the etymologist over here. I could also explain the origins of your name, Spike Cuntbubble, if you want
August 8, 201511 yr Huh? Barraclough is a traditonal English name, and is usually pronounced 'Barrow-cluff'. It means a wood ('barrow') that's close to a ravine ('clough'). I copy/pasted it from an article, winston churchill
August 8, 201511 yr I copy/pasted it from an article, winston churchill Wow, I kind of guessed that. I was not suggesting you personally arbitrarily adjudicate upon the pronounciation of players' names, rather that in England, Barraclough is a common name, and is not pronounced Bear-claw. Paranoid or what?
August 8, 201511 yr Who the fuck knows what this front office is doing. WE do this literally every single year. Pretty much fall out of contention in August or before and then bring up all our old crappy relievers and non prospects from AAA to take the spots of actual prospects who could be getting valuable time the last two months in the majors. Some examples since we've moved into this ballpark alone: Mcgehee, Solano, Narveson, Mazzaro, Rienzo, Randy Wolf, Brad Penny, Kevin Gregg, Slowey, Marmol was early in the year but dumb nonetheless, Olmos, Sanabia, Leblanc, John Maine. We do it every year. Most teams have actual developed players to come in and at least pick up the slack a little bit. If I hear one person from the team blame this season on injuries I'm gonna flip a shit. This entire organization as a whole sucks and makes baseball incredibly horrible to watch and be a fan of.

August 8, 201511 yr I am going to pronounce his name Barcalounge. It'll be the most comforting thing about him.
