This site isn't more active because the franchise is at the lowest point in its history.

2005 was only 2 years away from a championship. Now we are 13 years away.

And that's the bottomline.

I guarantee you this site would be rocking if the team is in October and that traffic spike would last until the team started to suck again

I really want to argue this point but I guess I know what you mean at least in terms of how far away from a title we are currently. But I really wanna disagree because you can easily say we're closer to the next championship than we are away from our last one.

It's pretty hard to argue against it. The franchise's image is embarrassing right now.

People said for almost every one of the last 12 years that the Marlins were close to a championship.

This organization is a dumpster fire.

Ok now I'll absolutely have to disagree with you. Our image and on field talent has been on the way up for a while now. Mattingly so far as brought a bunch of credibility and there's no arguing the talent on the field right now and the ceiling that this team has. I wouldn't call us embarrassing right now at all. And in the last 12 years there's been few teams as good as this one or at least as close to contending as this one. Of course we've had our bumps in the road the last few seasons but we've had lower points since 2003. 2016 is way more appealing at this point than 2013, 2014, 2006, 2007, 2008, just to name a few.

Sounds like you are drastically over rating this team and are going to be sorely disappointed.

Well what's so wonderful about the image otherwise then?

Giancarlo Stanton MVP candidate when healthy. Jose Fernandez Cy Young candidate. Dee Gordon Batting Champ and All Star. Christian Yelich. Our coaching staff. Our ballpark. There are many things we should be proud of despite the ineptitude of the team at times... I can't be the only one who's more proud this year than I was in 2013, 2012, 2007, etc.

No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying this team is better than 2013, 2007, 2006, etc. That's what you were doing, making a comparison by saying we're at our lowest point ever. And all I'm saying is, we've had lower points.

If you'd like, ignore the rest and just answer me this one... you like this team LESS than the 2013 team?

I'm not talking about win/loss record, but the general state of the franchise. Including farm system and depth.

2006 was a much better position IMO.

@Admin, you removed my "View Active Content" button and that's why I'm being blasted for not posting on the main board. I generally only go to topics I've already posted in, and don't want to open every forum one by one!

Give me my "View Active Content" button back!

We've gotta recruit other people from other marlins site to come here. Monopolize marlins forums. Put those others out of business.

Those things are fine, I see your points on those... but how does win/loss record and on field performance not matter in terms of the franchise's image? You're cherry picking the most negative points and ignoring some of the silver linings.
