@Admin, you removed my "View Active Content" button and that's why I'm being blasted for not posting on the main board. I generally only go to topics I've already posted in, and don't want to open every forum one by one!

Give me my "View Active Content" button back!

Its so much more advanced now, you can create your own streams even - http://www.marlinsbaseball.com/discover/?do=create

We've gotta recruit other people from other marlins site to come here. Monopolize marlins forums. Put those others out of business.

There really isn't anything else out there.

Well whether it's win loss record or not, this is not our lowest point even if you think 2016 is gonna suck. Are we a 100 loss team that just had a borderline fire sale after promising the fan base we'd be consistent contenders because that's 2013. I'd still like to know if u really think 2013 was less embarrassing than 2016.

My 2013 personally was pretty embarassing

Mattingly is meh. The farm system sucks. Jose will be traded in a year or two. And Loria still does Loria things.

It's hard to he excited about this team right now.

Yeah pretty much this...I mean if the ownership was that interested in winning this year they would have done more than sign Chen and call it a day.

They should sign Greinke.

I think too many threads get derailed by some not so funny inside jokes.

Some of the stuff is funny, but it's overdone. Pretty much every thread gets heavy-handedly highjacked (including this one).

I am a lurker. I check out the forum every day, I've been doing this for years. As a Brazilian Marlins fan, I have no contact with other fans in person, so I like to read what you all have to say. It's fun.

That's my only criticism, otherwise I really like the place. I even like the jokes, but it is just a bit too much some times.

Get rid of all the male under 10 years old.

And females under 18 too.

My wife is Brazilian. From São Paulo. The suberb she lived in was San Bernardo.

I've been here since December 2003. (I think)

I agree with Lucas in that a lot of the inside jokes as well as some rough responses to unpopular opinions may sway some newer users from posting or becoming more active.

Even as a long time user it is somewhat annoying to have to scroll through 4 pages of nonsense and repetitive jokes over and over to actually read anything relevant or pertinent to the thread topic or even baseball in general.

Of course many of the jokes are funny and entertaining but I can see how a newer user can be put off by the excess of it. At the same time there's really no way to lessen or control this that I can think of

The issue of the team sucking will be rectified this year when we win the NL Pennant, so I'm not too worried about that.

Crap I'm in the joke crowd too. Although I do think I very often contribute actual legitimate Marlins and baseball convention as well. But yeah I'm a joker and when you've been here the decade plus that I've been here, I know most of the jokes and I'm so close with this community that's hard not to chime in with a jab here and there. That's the truth really.

From another thread where this came up.... Fyi, trivia would be a fun addition to this site. A trivia thread where whoever answers the question correctly posts the next question and the cycle continues. You also have like a 24-48 hour time limit that if the person up to post a question hasn't done so or hasn't outright given up their question turn someone else can throw one in to keep the thread going. If someone can keep score that's an added fun for bragging rights. That kind of thread can literally last years. And yes I'll post this in the improvements thread.

This is a tremendous idea
