I saw that Fantasy baseball is back, that was here back in the days and generated a lot of great ideas.

Serious question tho, what happened to @Marlins2003 , @BroncoBob27 , and Fox or whatever he changed his name. Did they tell you they would be leaving or just altogether left?

Always thought their debates sparked some good stuff.

1) Fantasy Baseball can be good if the people involved care, yes

2) They left, some said they were leaving and others just up and left. I don't know if they want me revealing their PMs to me so I shouldn't say more probably

Mattingly is meh. The farm system sucks. Jose will be traded in a year or two. And Loria still does Loria things. It's hard to he excited about this team right now.

You mean like Stanton was supposed to be traded last year?

If we want try to bring in more new users we have to be more welcoming to them. We need stop negative, insulting, and name calling. We can disagree but, do so in a way that doesn't put the person down.

Agreed. People who don't feel welcome on day one usually won't come back for day two. Unless they are @SilverBullet1929 and enjoy abuse.

Disagree about the inside jokes. They build community and make this place much less boring and much more fun.

Also, I can't recall a single instance of a well intended poster here who was treated with hostility upon joining the site. I don't think actual practice has reflected what some have said in this thread.

I agree. Except @Admin who is generally a piece of garbage there is very little insulting/name calling here. Lots of disagreement, sure!

To the regulars, we know the deal. To a new outsider, I can see them seeing our interactions differently. Its a perspective thing.

Don't get me wrong, they are fun and a big part of what happens here. I just said it gets overdone.

Sometimes I am reading a thread and it gets highjacked for 5 pages on some random crap. haha

It doesn't keep me away. And since I've been following the forum for so long, I am actually in on the jokes. I get most of the stuff. I guess I should stop being a creepy lurker and actually contribute sometime.

Do that, I lurked for awhile too. Get in on this. Especially on those Game Threads.
