Some of you are acting like we have never given up runs in the ninth inning before. We really never even came that close to losing this game.

 

Bases were loaded with a 3-2 count and a 3 run lead in a hitters park with a closer who couldn't throw strikes and his fastball was at 87mph because he has worked 5 of 6 games. I would say one swing away close.

Yeah, that probably just makes it worse. He's not used to this workload. Also, hasn't he already had arm issues before? It was the right move. Bottom line is that Urena was terrible tonight. No one's mentioned it yet I don't think, but good thing Prado made that play at 3B in the 9th inning. 

 

 

Joking aside, his interview was great. Smart guy that Conley.

4 hits and 3 runs in the 9th and the WINNING run is waving a stick in the batters box.

 

Mattingly's look-at-me over managing was tough to watch tonight. Preserving that no-hitter would have been tremendous for this team in light of the Dee Gordon disaster.

Ramos has been overworked, got in at 7am and, the one some haven't mentioned, more than likely wasn't fully warmed up as he totally had to rush his warm ups to try and bail out Urena. Despite the heart attack he gave me in the ninth I still have faith in him.

Yea and that post game interview was awesome... Conley doesn't throw out generic cliches to just get the interview over with. He absolutely explains thoroughly what he was trying to do in intricate details with great vocabulary, Jessica was like what the fuck is this guy talking about! I loved it!
