Not sure what happened to Conley...

Tough loss but it's ok.. By the looks of it Nats and Mets aren't playing tonight.

Tie the series tomorrow. Go fish!

16 hits + 3 opp. errors = just 5 run-scored. Conley's game pattern was almost same as other night. Struggled at last.

2nd inning hurt badly....

now I go into work tomorrow in a bad mood and the dread day game while I work outing. and lord knows I hate those.

I dont care what's on tap for tomorrow, Koehler better be lights out. I believe we are losing our playoff spot tonight too.

Not if the Nats win

When we're 3-0 lead, baseball God told us want to give us this win but we said "no,thanks",so he takes this game away from us in the bottom of fifth inning.

Out hit them 16 to 9 and they had 3 more errors than the Marlins and we lost.

You gotta be kidding me.

Very frustrating game but we missed be chance to knock them out of it.

Hope the Nationals do not win.

Do you still want to win the division title, come on,we would be very lucky to get the second wild card.

Scheduled starter for tomorrow should be Chen, but I think Mattingly was doesn't want to give them another lefty to hit,so just swap the schedule date of Chen with Koehler.

1. Not sure what happened with Conley. 2. RISP

When we trade Hech for a real hitter at shortstop then we'll start getting base hits with RISP

You make it seem like Hech is the only guy that can't hit with RISP and a replacement would solve all of our problems. That's inaccurate and a complete over reaction

I never over react.

He's not the only, but if you can improve avg with risp at the ss and bring in a nice starter for a cheater (dee) and an offensive hole (hech), why not.

I just don't see it as being realistic. What team is going to deal an ace, plus a SS that's better than Hech? And why would they trade an Ace and their SS for Dee and Hech?

We don't need another ss. We just need a frontline starter. We trade hech + dee and receive a good starter. We put Rojas at 2nd and dd at ss.

I'm going to assume you mean Rojas at SS and DD at 2B, because DD would be horrendous at SS. Not to mention our utility IF would then be Robert Andino, our offensive production at SS would not get any better and we would worse off defensively. And the "front line" starter would essentially be Jake Odorizzi with that trade. Maybe, some slightly better but you aren't getting Gerrit Cole with that trade. Great idea

Great idea playing rojas at ss. See? Would totally work. Glad you're onboard.

Damn, you're right this would work. You should apply for the Washington Nationals and/or the New York Mets

Gonna have to be the Mets because the Nats already have Dan Jennings, they can't do any better than him.

That at bat by Hech with bases loaded sucked. Stanton had a good game and the offense did pretty well besides that.

Conley was cruising until that dreadful 5th inning, before that I thought he was going to strike out 13+ his stuff was on point. Even struck out Cabrera twice before throwing him the meatball. What hurt him again was the walks.
