Strong push for Chapman and Jansen coming

Where have all of the Cubans been for the last 24 years when the stadium was a ghost town?

Or rather where have they been the last three years on Jose Fernandez games. At the stadium.

Get glasses

Apparently you didn't attend too many Jose Fernandez games down here. Unless you conducted an exit poll of people at Jose Fernandez games to reach a conclusion that Cubans didn't go to his games my testimonial evidence and that of any other season ticket holder is better than your subjective belief that because attendance numbers are low that it leads to the conclusion that Cubans didn't go to joses games.

You sound like that dope BroncoBob by playing the "I'm a season ticket holder blah blah blah" card.

The problem is that you're wrong about Cuban people not attending games that Fernandez pitched in. You have no evidence to support your claim. Although my evidence isn't strong, my eyewitness account is not incorrect. Unless there's some data out there that shows my perception is incorrect I'll stick to what I'm saying. I'm pretty sure other people on here who went to a lot of Jose Fernandez games can confirm what I'm saying.

I just averaged the 2016 paid attendance figures for all of Jose's home starts and it was lower than the Marlins home attendance average (21,405).

That's my proof.

I never realized that, thanks for looking it up. I assumed the crowds were bigger for Jose

Also, Jose had some starts that were considerably higher than that average (by like 5,000 or so), but those games were played against teams like the Cubs and Mets.

So it seems that the transplants had more sway over attendance than the Jose fans did.

I took the time to average it. The number i got was 20,975 for 2016 Jose starts.

That includes one outlier where the attendance was only 10,637. That seems strange to me that it would be that low for a game. I think it was a 7pm Tuesday night start against the Pirates. Actually, it might have been a game that was supposed to be played in San Juan

Anyway, if you exclude that game, the figure increases to 21,664. That's over the average by 259 people per game, which is basically statistical noise.

In conclusion, the numbers indicate that there was very little uptick in attendance (if any at all) for Jose's starts.

Its a funny line as to why they are after Chapman all of a sudden.

After being not in on so many other Cubans.

Funny shit really.

Cangelosi loves to bicker with me whenever I say that Miami is a shitty sports town, but honestly most metrics strongly indicate that it is.

Hell, even Tommy Hutton used to rant over the air that more people weren't coming out for Jose's starts.

Miami is the absolute worst.
