May 10, 20179 yr so when is the fire sale coming ? We're probably not getting another one under Loria at least, not when the team is about to be sold (and we have the ASG in two months). What the new owners do with this roster, I have no idea, but I could easily see them rebuilding.

May 10, 20179 yr Didn't see the game but main question I have is why would they remove Straily when he was only on 92 pitches and just pitched a clean 7th? Frustrating as hell how reluctant we are to let our SP's continue when they do occasionally turn in a strong performance. Have any of our SP's reached 100 pitches in a start yet this year?

Correct but the pieces around them aren't enough right now and there's no farm system to use as currency to acquire the right pieces so right now those 4 players you mentioned are alone on an island surrounded by water and with no food in sight. So maybe a full scale rebuild isn't necessary but there needs to be a shake up around those four players to get a better supporting cast around them.

Yes, the call was awful but you can't go and get yourself tossed that early on in a 0-0 game for christsakes. Fletcher even let him stand there and complain and get his piece in first but nope, he had to keep running his mouth until he was tossed. Utterly selfish move.

But like you said, just because you may need a rebuild in some area does not mean you have to throw away useful pieces.
