April 30, 20188 yr Author This Week's Topic - 4/26 Do you prefer chair-back seating to watch Marlins games or would you be interested in purchasing tickets to a Marlins game - under $20 per seat - which provided exclusive access to a Standing Room Only (SRO) social section with drink rails in the lower seating bowl? I have interest and would prefer SRO social section tickets I prefer chair-back seating, but may have periodic interest in SRO social section tickets I would not have interest in SRO social section tickets I like this idea. I chose the second one because I can't sit there all the time with my family but this seems like a perfect Miami thing that would get these casual fans and college kids out to games for the social setting and so they can take plenty of pics for their social media accounts. I especially love that it sounds like it would be cheap as well. Get these millenials in the ballpark for cheap, have them buy a shirt and a cap and a few rounds of drinks and they have a good time and it's a win win because they come back when the team is good again.

Not really. You have to be interested in baseball to want to attend a baseball game. If you're interested in baseball, you'll come to watch a baseball game. The only way to get people interested in baseball is to have a good baseball team in a comfortable setting. But everyone is free to vote as they wish lol EDIT: Let me clarify. Standing Room Only is a good concept that I would support. The gimmicky social media crap is lame to me. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter to me since it's easy to implement and probably won't take away from any other initiative.

The "gimmicky social media" suggestion came from me assuming that a Standing Room Only section would support the "gimmicky social media" crowd and bring more casual fans to the game. That wasn't anything the Marlins said, just clarifying that. But I do think you're underestimating how many "non baseball fans" would go to a game with a group of friends for drinks and a chance for a few selfies in a good looking stadium if the tickets are $20 or less. It's perfect for Miami and for a team starved for a stronger fan base. At this point the Marlins can't only be targeting serious baseball fans.

Changes here are to the hat logo, and away script. Borrowed from some old marlins logos. Absolutely nothing original. Just taking logos and marks from chris creamer's site and changing them to fit Miami Marlins branding. I know that one BP cap from the early 00s is a popular choice for an M hat. May 4, 20188 yr I’ll do a hundred surveys asking them to please close the fucking roof during day games. It’s unbearable. I actually didn’t buy a half season pass or 20 game pack this year because of this roof issue.

I always liked the F logo on the sleeve over this one even though I’m general not a fan of duplicating the hat logos on jerseys. Really like the road but wouldn’t mind seeing the old soutache on the sleeve ends to give it something a little extra.

July 31, 20188 yr Sounds like teal will be back Its kind of based on how they've marketed themselves and embraced the teal. I got a feeling June was the Branding Trial Run and it overexceeded their expectations so they are rolling with it. I see a predominantly black uniform because it's Jeter, with a Teal Alternate and Teal Alternate Caps coming. I'm kind of excited. Hopefully they go the Blue Jays "Retooling" route of the classic F logo rather than a whole new set. Yeah, the Marlin always looked like it was mounted on the F and lifeless- but we have enough angry and screaming animals in this sport.
July 31, 20188 yr I don't know why many people dislike the current jersey,I'm just have no problem with this. The current uniforms were a great step to using color, but when they darkend it by ignoring the Orange Cap- and eventually did away with the Orange Jersey.... it was time to move on. This team loves the color black for some reason, I hope we don't see a black alternate jersey in the next set. These colors, Blue/Yellow/Red-orange and White had the potential for such gorgeous uniforms and identity. The 2003-2011 set was too much black, and i've said it 100 times... it was more Rockies and White Sox than Marlins. They even Darkened the Teal in the last few years and it just muddied the look. Didn't help that Loria kept using orange for advertising too. WHY THE HELL DID HE LOVE ORANGE SO MUCH!
July 31, 20188 yr Author A real marlin can't make facial expressions so the "lifeless marlin" is a better option than an animated cartoon marlin which would look more like a minor league team mascot.
