I was leaving a game and walking towards the garage and security stops the crowd for a moment as I see the door rising and I'm expecting just some maintenance style equipment maybe a pick up truck with ladders and metal beams etc etc but the door rises and there's Sherman and his wife with the top down and they just ride off looking so cool, it reminded me of the batmobile leaving the batcave. Wait.... top down? When I saw Sherman he was in a 2015 Malibu, and Jeter was in an older Land Rover lol.

July 15, 20197 yr Author 7:10 is perfect. Anything after that is way too late and unnecessary and would probably decrease attendance to be honest. I can see 6:40 being a thing but is 30 mins really much of a difference when 7:10 is good enough? 6:10 seems super inconvenient for many reasons... though I love that time for Saturday games, 4:10 is phenomenal for Saturdays too.

Latin time means you're 30-60 mins late regardless of what time it starts at. I think 7:10 is fine, although, 7:40 could help people coming from further away (like Fort Lauderdale) avoid some rush hour traffic. It'd also mean I'd have more time to kill waiting for the game to start if I went straight from work.
July 25, 20197 yr Author Nice! Likely means this will be an annual thing for sure now. The choices in that poll are all good except that the 4th one is the same as last year's jersey. I chose the vest with teal undershirts but would love the black 03 jerseys too. The all teal jersey would be an interesting choice because it's a popular pick but it actually was only for spring training and BP, it never once saw a regular season game.

July 26, 20197 yr considering they will probably be doing this every year and considering the short history of the club, I am fine with it once per year. They need to mix it up and not do the same ones every year and there are not as many to choose from as a lot of the older teams. On a side note, do you guys think they will ever do retro jerseys of the orange Miami Marlins era?

I would imagine not for a long time but if ever it would be on the anniversary(anniversaries) of the opening of the new ballpark, like 2022, or when the team gets to like a 50 year anniversary and they do like the Reds are doing and scatter multiple throwbacks throughout the season and then in that scenario they would do every era of uniform. Either or it would take a major fan push requesting it but I don't see that happening. Come to think of it, the Marlins only have 4 eras of uniform styles, maybe 5 in a way. With some changes here and there they probably have less than 20 possible uniform options overall.

Who cares if it was never worn, it'd be a cool look. --- On that Dimelo site, they're also asking this: What hallmark or legacy elements of the game day experience and in-game presentation from our previous stadium would you like to see recognized at Marlins Park? Prize Wheel Postgame Victory Song Manatees Billy the Marlin Skits Other - Please Specify Honestly the only thing from that list that I know is the manatees. I have no idea what the rest are. We had a postgame victory song (aside from that Marlins will soar Scott Stapp song? lol)?? What skits did Billy do - does that mean we'll have to look at ugly Billy more? Prize wheel? For who? Honestly, I know it's not from the old park, but I'd like to see the sea creatures race return....I'm not sure why they got rid of that. If they want to introduce different characters, go for it. You could make it the "Florida wildlife" race (heck have it presented by ZooMiami) - panther, flamingo, manatee, alligator - to be different from the Loria one. I always found it fun/entertaining, especially when the team wasn't doing well/losing the game.
