Because no teams will trade an elite young SP for Realmuto. The Marlins asked for Whitley and got a no. I'd rather they acquire young elite talent regardless of position than take some project pitcher just to get a pitcher.

December 11, 20187 yr I see no way a trade happens where Marlins get Andujar and Rosario though because if Yanks are involved they are getting Thor and there's no way Mets are dealing Thor and Rosario in the deal. They don't want to trade one of them, they aren't about to trade both.

Rosario was like a top 5 prospect about a year ago and he’s a SS which is something the organization needs. Nimmo’s probably more intriguing than people are making him out to be too, but hopefully the Yankees get involved.

Personally, I dont't want Nimmo. He's almost 26 year old and he's avg I'd prefer Puig instead but with Verdugo,May and Lux included in the deal if we get lucky.
December 12, 20187 yr I can't believe how many Mets fans are like "rather just sign Grandal"... I don't think they realize how good JT is. If I'm a Mets fan, coming off the Cano deal, I'm praying they really go for it and get Realmuto because Cano alone isn't gonna make them a real contender and JT would actually be a difference maker for them.
