Holy Small Ball, Batman!

What a crazy fun game.

Steals. Walks. Hit n run. Hustle doubles.

We had two extra base hits and they were probably two of the weakest balls we hit all night.

CRAZINESS!

We win again.

Marlins with the best record, best run differential, and best record against teams with a winning record in the NL East.

Is it just me or do we always have a lower "expected W-L record" than our total?

Also, not that it really matters this year, but how are we only 1-0 at "home"?  Didn't we have "home" games at other parks?

It happens when you have a lot of 1 run wins.

Severino was explaining the other day how those pseudo home games only count for some home stats but not for all. He gave a couple of examples.

Weird.  Not sure what the point of that is.

Well some are easier to explain than others. Marlins home record is meant to show their record at Marlins Park. The two games in Baltimore were not at Marlins Park so you can't count those. Like that.

Why have no the "cardboard cutouts of fans " in the stands of Marlins Park !? is it because this team has only 16 fans or cheap Jeter ?

Yes.

The Marlins say it's for fairness because the cutouts only shows the fans who paid and leaves out those who didn't. Kinda weird but I think I get it. Tbh they may really just be being cheap about it or maybe they think the idea is stupid.
