August 26, 20215 yr Marlins just reached an agreement with him. Top internatinal prospect. This is huge. Trust the process. With patience we will reap the rewards. I don't think some realize what is going on here. WE ARE BUILDING A DYNASTY.
August 26, 20215 yr Apparently Solano at #44 is all the Marlins are doing in the international pool... https://www.mlb.com/prospects/international/ They better be using money to buy bats this offseason Edited August 26, 20215 yr by CyggyMarlin

I know some fans are happy moving the goalposts every year and saying "just wait" and "trust the process" and stuff like that, but I'm done waiting to see the ownership actually try. We can't just eternally wait for prospects and more prospects. The front office has to know when to add via free agency and that time is this off-season.

For instance, JT Realmuto was a shortstop and is known as a great athlete. The theory is that if you can master SS, you can play anywhere else in the field.

They had a great farm system but they still added pieces like Machado... I get the feeling our FO wants to go all-prospects and save money.... The stadium and tv deals should bring in extra money, but if this franchise wants to still play the Poverty Card next season, I am out

Someone that may or may not pan out in 3-5 years.

August 26, 20215 yr Having a consistent high ranking minor league system is the goal. Except, as good as it is, ranking wise, have you seen the overall batting average throughout the organization? Cause for concern as we will continue the process in perpetuity.
August 26, 20215 yr Even if the process of controllable talent was sufficient, the FO and our manager are not qualified IMO. It’s a higher stage of expertise that they don’t seem to possess. So we must spend just to compensate that alone.

I feel like I’ve seen a noticeable shift in viewpoint here from “it’s part of the process, give it time” to “time to put up or shut up”
