What if any things do you collect of the Marlins, what's your most prized possession? 

I've been collecting baseball cards and gotten several signed over the years, got loads of other things like yearbooks and media guides, some ticket stubs before everything was on my phone too. This isn't my most prized possession, but I mailed it to him and got it back today

I’ll take pictures of a few random things I have when I get home.  Some were given to me, others found.  I don’t really purposely “collect” anything but friends and family know I like them so they get me stuff sometimes.

I have a bunch of Marlins stuff, but there isn't one specific thing I collect. When I lived in Miami, I tried to get bobbleheads whenever I could, so I have a few of those (older ones) at my parents' house in Miami.

Someone gave me these two '97 things years ago when they were moving.

This is my "Marlins shelf" - a bunch of random Marlins things:

-the ice cream helmets on the bottom left

-Ichiro 3000 hit poster in the back

-that thing in the middle is supposed to be Stanton lol

-Signed Edinson Volquez ball

-Bob the shark (wasn't that his name?) plush toy

This newspaper page actually has what I think is a neat story.  I was going through/pulling down Halloween decorations from the attic and in years past, some jeans and shirts had been stuffed with crumpled newspapers to give them volume/to look like bodies sitting in costumes.....anyway, some of the newspaper had fallen out, and I happened to open it up and it was this photo of the Marlins WS win, and on the back IIRC are all the '03 WS stats and box scores (it's framed/mounted on the wall so I can't look to confirm, but I remember them being there).  Thought it was crazy that that would not only be in there, but something I have interest in, AND still in good condition on top of that.

Also, in the reflection, you can see the mirrored Marlins 2012 "ticket book" theme on the wall.

 

The whole room is actually Marlins themed and was painted years ago after the '11/'12 rebrand, and I haven't felt like "rebranding" the room yet lol. 

Here's the wall reflected above, and the inspiration below.....ignore all the other trinkets on the shelves lol.

 

I painted that Miami logo.  Originally had the 2012 opening day picture below next to the painted logo, but then my mom got me that '97 WS photo that fit better there.

I moved the '12 photo over to the other side of the room.

And I actually used to have green carpet too that I would sometimes vacuum with a grass/line pattern like the field when I was bored enough lol.

@rmc523Nicely displayed too! Pretty sure I still have the newspapers from 97 and 03 too, but they're in a plastic tub last I checked, one of these days I'll have to convince my wife to convert one of the kids bedrooms into a man cave

I actually have a teal hat from 1993 somewhere.  

I've always wondered what happened to that hat.  It never lost a playoff series.

wouldnt have mattered.  I was a fan of the team in 1997 and 2003.

 

Not in 2020.  So point is moot.  Find other reasons for the failed success. 

I collect Mike Piazza cards and items from his time as a Marlin.

Speaking of which, if anyone has May 20, 21 1998 tickets. Hit me up. Been hunting down some for a bit.

The Marlins never wore a teal hat in the playoffs. Final use of a teal hat was in 96.

I never said the marlins players ever wore it.
