April 30, 20233 yr Serious question to discuss: that stat about our record in 1 run games, what's really the point of it? I feel like it's a useless stat. Potentially misleading. What if a team loses a bunch of 1 run games but wins a bunch of 2 run games? Or vice versa. Or what if a team wins a bunch of 1 run games but loses a bunch of 5 run games, or vice versa. Tell me how they do in all close games, including 2 and 3 run games, but looking specifically at 1 run games feels kinda arbitrary. I don't get it. For the Marlins right now it's a cool stat so I get why it's mentioned but I don't know if it really means anything.

April 30, 20233 yr I know they want to win as many one run games as possible and want to break the record that they can't win when allowing 5 or more runs but still don't need to make a 7-2 ballgame to a 7-6 ballgame.

Extrapolate that info to the rest of the records shown. ❤️
