Very bad team = pitchers will most likely just work on getting outs = more likely to get very hittable pitches = JJ probably hits 25 homers this year while Oakland loses 110 games.

But those are 25 HRs he could have hit for the Marlins. Nah it’s ok. I’ll take Burdick over Bleday. Same or better power potential, slightly more fun player to watch. 😂

Same or better power potential, slightly more fun player to watch. 😂 and even if he does turn out well for the A's once they get better...he sure as shit wasn't hitting here and Puk has pitched well for us so it was a good trade overall, You can't really predict a guy is gonna need TJ (and hopefully Puk doesn't) barring some obvious things that would have showed up on his physical before the trade was completed. I had had very high hopes for Bleday when they drafted him. I was excited as I thought he was one of the more polished prospects and could be a nice mix of avg. power and obp% (literally what we need) but he just didn't hit with us. Let him continue his career elsewhere. Getting Puk solved a glaring need for us and our pen has been much better this year with him in it. Burdick sucks though lol

Those are 25 homers that he would not have hit for us because we're not anywhere near as bad as Oakland. And apparently only one of his homers is going out at loanDepot park. (Edit - ok it's actually 2 but still, my point remains.)
